maybe American troops need a little training or something. Better teach them how to tell a camera from a gun. Blowing up a hotel that was housing Journalists? seriosly wtf. shoot first ask questions later?. Im sorry i know there has been a ton of things about the war im not saying im against it but fuck enough of this friendly fire its getting out of hand. Check what your firing at first.

they took RPG and small arms fire from the hotel, so they shot back. its pretty simple, if you were in the same situation you'd do the same.

actually they never did confirm that there was fire coming fromt he hotel, actually some western reports staying there said that they saw or heard no one firing from the hotel. Plus the army knows that Journalists are staying there as CNN's journalists stayed there before they got kicked out of Iraq. the hotel was full of Journalists not just a couple of them

powder99 you have it all wrong. TROOPS MUST come first as they are the ones protecting. Think about it. Yes we will be killing and are killing civilians, which is evident of any war, but even in this war in regards to past history and the scale of this war we have suffered VERY VERY minimal civilian casualties. Yes troops need to be careful when taking up arms, but you get to a point were being too careful puts you at risk and that is not acceptable. Innocent people are dying, but in retrospect to the lives we are saving and liberating it is more important that we dont sacrifice our troops in hopes that they will help save more civilians. Guess what kid....I know without a doubt that if you went to war then you would think the same way because its only human to put your own safety first especially when there have been several instances of civilians taking part in suicide missions to kill troops. You have to be careful about killing civilians, but you have to draw the line when it comes to the safety of the troops. Let me know and i have an email i could send you which would greatly change your view on the war as i sense you are against the conflict and US actions.

there is actually footage that shows for about 20 minutes before the tank fired on the hotel there was no fire at all in that area, let alone coming from the hotel.

i think the funny thing is that the U.S's friendly fire rate is 50% better than it was during the secand world war. Also if they are trying to minimize civilain casulties why shoot a building with a tank after small arms fire? are they doing this to other buildings to? who cares if you kill 20 innocent people if you get the one soldier that was hiding in the building

There are some who have very valid questions about why that building was attacked, including reporters without borders. Many have called for an inquiry into that fight, based on the fact that the hotel was housing reporters from Al Jazeera and Abu Dhabi TV, and that it seems that there was NO fire coming from it or its general vicinity. In fact, many believe the hotel was deliberately targeted by US forces, who don't particularly enjoy those 2 previously mentionned networks' war coverage...
