A list of Movies to see

i guess some very recent ones that should be mentioned...

Blood Diamond

Last King of Scotland

Little Children

and might as well throw Titanic out there. Just got reimmersed in that movie. Its practically timeless.

finally saw Casino Royale. I was real skeptical at first but after seeing it I think it's one of the best Bond's yet. good flick

serious movies or movies to think about:

I started watching fear and loathing in LV and it sucked massive dick. About halfway in I turned it off. It was that bad. Normally I watch bad movies out but this sucked so much.

snatch is such a dope movie. i saw it for the first time last week or 2 and have watched it every other day since. and to the deuche who said fear and loathing wasnt good.... are you joking? go take you head outa your moms ass and watch it again, and maybe smoke a joint before.

Man Bites Dog

Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan

Rock and Roll High School

Hot Dog

The Devil and Daniel Johnston

Taxi Driver

The Warriors

i agree with these except i must say that i liked totoro better as far as miyazaki films go. probably because its just a cute, warm, light film. i also thoroughly enjoyed spirited away but i definitely liked princess mononoke better.

pan's labyrinth got jipped out of best original screenplay. i dont understand how it didnt win that oscar. forming this concept, based on nothing else, not a novel no adaptation whatsoever...is an incredibly difficult task. speaking as a film critic and a screenwriting myself, this screenplay displays an incredible imagination in a man that is both inventive and intelligent...and somehow makes the two a coherent structural framework for one of the best films of the year.

i didnt like the birds but rear window is by far my favourite hitchcock film.

children of men is the most refreshing style of directing i've seen in a while. it is fairly typical of cuaron's style...especially the lingering of the camera..like in y tu mama tambien. i think cuaron has definitely earned his right to the auteur status. he's one of the new crossover/middle cinema directors to come out of mexico in the 80s and 90s and i think he's really made a name for himself..well obviously he has...but i mean he's definitely earned his status. he's a genius.

Fucking Requiem For A Dream is incredible. life changing as a matter of fact. you all should see it. the sequences are amazing and i love the soundtrack.

I saw Hot Fuzz yesterday, that was hilarious. possibly better than shaun of the dead. Then after, we watched Bad Boys II. I couldn't stop laughing!

to continue with the thread...

Stomp the Yard

All fo the Rush hours

All of the Bad Boys

yeah I recently saw Spiderman 3 and it was... not so good. the whole emo/ladies man thing was a bit excessive. although I guess it showed how the suit affected him.
