I went a few years back in the thread and decided to watch 500 Days of Summer. #GaaAaAaAYYyy but for real it was a good movie.
 
MIB3 was amazing, followed perfectly with the previous two, and will smith never ages. awesome movie.

I forgot about this one, but I saw it again over last weekend and it gives me a raging gusta:

 
i just watched city of god, HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE YET.its on my top list along with shawshank redemption. Im going to watch Sin Nombre later today, thanks for the tip.
 
the movies that i watch repeatedly:

star wars - if i need to explain this to you, eat a bullet.

2001: a space odyssey - in my opinion this is the best movie ever made. its about human's first contact with aliens, but really its about so much more than that.

donnie darko - a teenage kid cant tell if hes loosing his mind or discovering time travel

the man from earth - political / philosophical / anthropological discussion about a man who claims to be 14000 years old

waking life - takes place during a lucid dream as the protagonist moves from one philosophical discussion to the next

i watched Safe last night and it was pretty good, for an action film. definitely underrated.

Intouchables (french film) is a must-see.

Ip Man is a great martial arts film

The Cabin In The Woods if you're a Joss Whedon fan (and who isn't these days?)

Warrior- if you like ufc watch thisAct of Valor- must watch about a special forces CIA team

The Hurt Locker- about a bomb diffusing squad
 
Snow On Tha Bluff

Its free on Netflix, and its a very accurate portrayal of street life in Atlanta. Extremely suspenseful all the way through

 
In my honest opinion, and you don't have to agree with me if you don't want to... but the best movies ever-this means, acting, plot, moral value and basically all higher credits of movies... is

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS AWHH YAH.

I just watched Super 8 and I thought it was a good movie. If you are into SciFi, I would suggest watching it.

 
that was fucking crazy. definitely puts rap music/that whole ghetto culture into perspective

i'd definitely recommend watching this if you're rich, white, and like to act like gucci mane in your day to day life. or if you just wanna see what its really like to live in the hood

i'm pretty sure all that shit was real too? correct me if i'm wrong. i know snow actually lives there and does all that kinda shit, and everyone in that movie were real, but idk if those specific situations happened or were just emulations
 
Jesus the book and the movie were so depressing and demoralizing. Like a shitty thing would happen, then an even more shitty thing, then finally something good would happen but more shitty stuff was to follow. Love how it's shot though.

Just saw Gangster Squad, pretty fucking good. Sean Penn is ruthless. It's really similar to The Untouchables but way more violent and badass, and has a nice westcoast style.

Been getting into LOTR again, still one of the best trilogies of all time.
