Yoo guys whats up:

So i ski, obviously, and i play hockey, and I've always wanted to mix the 2 and get a pair of skates and

try it out, hit some rails and jib some shit. So i was wondering if you could help me. Just looking for

skates that won't fall apart easily and can hold up. Comfy, but they fit.

Any help on the matter would be awesome.

Thanks guys!

I don't skate that much anymore, but I own these: http://rollerwarehouse.com/Valo-Ab-1-Boots.asp .. with a V-cut frame, I think they where called Formula or something like that.. The great thing I found with the Valo AB1, is the way you tighten up the boot, it's very unique and it works great :-) .. But that being said I would recommend the razors ComputerPutin mentioned aswell..

personally I prefer razors in the order of SL>genesys>cult. I'm on the fence about gens over cults since i rarely used them but I definitely like SL's over those two. honestly whatever you start with will probably be ok since you haven't tired other skates and wont know the difference.

the cult blues and fabio skate both have featherlites so the frames are the same. Not sure on the durability of his pro model wheels. If I had to pick a wheel, it'd be eulogy. been on those since mindgame died and no complaints.

Before you order you should decide on freestyle frames, anti rockers, or flat which is 4 wheels to the same skate.

oh yeah sorry. I just assumed that the cult streets would have a razor frame. I find cults are the best razor if you have a thinner foot.

You will rip on these.

And all your friends will be super jelly of your mad $wag.

I generally agree with everything this dude^ suggests. He knows his shit. I've been outside of the blade scene for a few years now but it seems not much has changed, especially in terms of gear tech.

check out some threads about inline skates. theres a few awesome threads full of info and suggestions. I always suggest razor gen boots for first skates, and typically push people toward flat or anti setups rather than freestyle (learning on a freestyle setup makes grinds look sloppy imo. nothing wrong with moving to freestyle once you get the form down tho.)

I'd go more in depth, but im in a sling and typing with one hand is a bitch haha. If you got Qs I'll be glad to help.
