A good idea for the big mountain riding?

The biggest problem in a burial is not the lack of oxygen, densely packed snow is still about 50% air. The biggest problem is stale air and asphyxiation. I feel that the Ava-lung is a much better choice than this. It keeps your air fresh and the snow above your mouth from freezing, plus it is already in your mouth. This, it seems, would require you to move in order to get it into your mouth? This is bulky and it doesn't seem to address the problem directly. I wouldn't trade my ava lung for this considering you can breath for about an hour with an Ava-lung, and I am no expert on air tanks but I am guessing this would not last for more than an hour. This is designed for water and not snow and it would probably be a waste of cash.

most avalanche deaths are from trauma, not asphyxiation so this rig isn't going to do too much in that case. There are situations where a bit of fresh oxygen could save your life though and in that case I'd want to be using an avalung.
