A couple questions about Canon 20D

I've thought long and hard about buying a camera, and I've now narrowed it down to a 20D or 30D. I'll buy the 30D if the price comes down when the 50D's released, but if it doesn't come down to at least close to what the 20D is right now I'll probably end up going with the 20D.

My question is, do you think it'll be worth it to dish out that extra 200 or so to get the bigger screen, like does that bother anyone at all? Or is it big enough that you're comfortable with it? I know I won't be scrutinizing the photos as I take them, but I still want a rough sense of what I'll end up seeing on the computer as I shoot.

I know I can find 20D's for around 400 now and the 30D 600-700, but how much do you think the price will come down?

personally with that type of camera, i dont think the screen is really a huge priority. the 20d screen is sufficient. my brother has it, really likes it, and it takes dope pictures. not sure about the pricing though and whether or not it will drop significantly when the 50d comes out

thats the xsi for the live view.

But also look like the nikon d40. You may think, 'oh, 6 megapixels, lamesauce.' But unless you are doing big prints than 6 is fine. I really like some parts of this website, especially this article really made my buying choice alot and I bought some better glass.

I wouldn't say "best" but yes, it is a good camera. I would spring for the 30d if I were you. It's newer, different better technology. You won't regret it. New models come out like every year and the newer you get the better, I feel with the release of the 50d the price will go down.

when 50D comes out i'm gonna jump for the 30D. Canon pretty much owns up the entire industry as far as cameras go, with Nikon close behind.

ya, I was thinking about the d40 at first too, but when I held it it felt kinda small for a DSLR and kinda felt more like it was solely for consumers thinking they want better pics and that they'd get it if they got a "DSLR", rather than another nikon camera like the D80, which I would buy if it wasn't for the price it currently retails at.

I know MP is not important and I am not basing my decision on MP, and I think you can tell, as if I was basing my picks on that I would go for a 15 MP point and shoot with a 3 inch LCD.

As to why I'm picking the 20D instead of the D40, is because I think the 20D has a much better build and quality, compared to the D40 for the price, as I think they now retail for about the same?

I dunno though, its just my opinion so I could be totally wrong.
