A-bay

ehh big March's aren't actually that typical with a La Nina. January and February on the other hand, only probably had 1 or 2 La Nina's with those months less snowy.

It looks like this weekend we'll start to get in formation for winter. Come monday it's gonna start getting coooooold. Areas more west and north might get a good dump on Tuesday. So hopefully some freshies will be had wednesday.

Can't trust any weather prediction here until about the day before. Last week, for example, had yesterday's high in the 30s... That obviously was not the case. Yesterday was a bit more chilly and cloudy but we didn't really get any precip and the mountains didn't blow snow all day. Today is flippin 60. dumb dumb dumb

Joel Gratzs forecast was fired up! Which means that it suppose to snow this up and coming monday for areas north of aspen. He also said areas around vail could see up to double digits! None the less, pretty much all of the mountains will be around 15F which is always good for snowmaking.

Im gonna go ahead and say that Loveland will open tomorrow and Abay on Saturday because Loveland's white ribbon has finally made it to the bottom of the lift and Abay still needs to push their snow down the last hill.

The lower section of Home Run and the lift maze snowmaking process is coming along. We made a lot of progress last night. You should hear some opening day news soon. Keep checking back for updates! Opening Day TBA

straight from loveland

Mother Nature keeps throwing curve balls at us. The snowguns were on from 6am-8am due to warm temps. We won't be opening Saturday. Please check back tomorrow for an update.

Loveland update...

thank you sir. I'm thinking of hiking up high on tuesday/wednesday for some pow turns on something with a base (or not... ;), not sure where to go, anyone else thinkin the same?

i don't know the specifics but this was on their website

The High Divide Terrain Park will have a couple of features on Monday and will grow substantially through the week.

they usually have a down rail, flat rail, flat box and a c box if i remember correctly.

see y'all in the blizzard tomorrow!

Holler if you see a short guy with a Green/Gray Orage Sven Jacket, grayish-white DNA pants, bright blue Lange boots. I'll probably be on my old Volkl Karmas with bolts in one of the skis haha, but if there's enough snow and the park line is too ridiculous, I might bust out my CRJ's.

Yo today was dope as far as opening days go. The drive sucked and it was cold, but the tracked out powder meant it wasn't icy and wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be.
