he missed a few for the aspen area but i can't complain. still more accurate than anyone else i've come across for colorado.

aaaannnd, lets hope that snow sticks with the highs being in the 60s all week.

I'm not getting my hopes up. They still need to "make" like 18 more inches of that throughout the entire run top to bottom before they can open.

sorry but that's not really even a base. that's a dusting of snow covering the ground. even if that's a few inches deep in the deepest spots, they still have to get to around 18 inches before they can open.

Haha thats definitely for the best. No white strip of death packed with hundreds of people.

I don't think I was even ready for it to be this weekend, definitely next weekend tho.

not even close. i'm fiending snow too, but i don't want to be skiing on a 4" base......

I'd rather wait until the conditions are good and they can open with "decent" conditions (as far as man-made conditions go).

Yeah only reason I have a desire to go ski the WROB is to hopefully get first chair on the new lift. haa

Ahhhh! This thread makes me want to scream. I just wanna ski and all these pictures of snow are killer excitement. I hope it opens next weekend. That would be a great birthday present.

i mean idk. but it would be dumb if they did that. not as many people would come, and the snow would go quick. at least theyll get their money's worth on the weekend

actually, they are, the conditions just aren't good enough to gamble it yet and they know it. and doesn't Loveland/Abay usually open on like a Wednesday/Thursday?

oh. well this is my first season out here, im used to selfish greedy resort owners opening and closing when convenient for them, and weekend warriors and having no regard for pass holders. but id be mad stoked to be skiing by thursday

when i drove through today loveland was blowing, it was 31 degrees at 7:45 or so, but the run definitely did not look very good, not to be a downer, but lots of dirt down low...it was raining pretty hard to the west out past glenwood so perhaps it stayed cold and the storm dropped some, but i would think a mid week opening would be a stretch for loveland, perhaps a basin has a better shot since it's higher??? fingers crossed for mother nature to get going soon...

i saw the same thing, loveland does have a lot left to cover at the bottom... but i feel like they could do it pretty quick if they get the right conditions for the rest of the week. thursday maybe?

I dunno bro, Loveland is storing some major snow towards the top.

yeah, my gf was around the area yesterday and it sounds like loveland is winning. they've been getting more natural snow.

This is gonna be one of the latest openings in years :( Then again the mid seasons havent been great lately, So maybe the snow is just savin up till nov/dec then its gonna duuummmmpppp

Keep the faith errybody!

Ya but you also have to remember that we had some of the earliest opening ever in the last couple years. This is more typical.
