i emailed them and they said they had a jump and 6 rails. i know a bunch of people have been up there recently, how is the park?

As of 4/20 they have a 10ft table with a decent landing, 16ft (2ft high), 5ft in ground, 6ft and a trapezoid. Its fun to fuck around in, or just get really techy. The east wall is probably open and so is pallivicini, so you have a lot to work with. Its not a great park but its skiing in may, so Im fucking stoked.

also, if you don't want to pay for a-basin's park, you can hike breck's park after this weekend. the cutter's cup (snowboard comp) is there this weekend and they build everything up. they usually only destroy the pipe and some of the hits after it's over. you can set up your own rails too if you bring enough people to lift them.

Tickets shouldnt be much over $40 Im thinking, if not just get some guy with a pass to buy you a ticket.

I havent been up there for a few weeks now but my dad teaches ski school part time and he said that they have a jump in the upper basin or something like that. Is this true? Details please

Their park has two sections. The upper part starts with a steep A frame box that is about five feet tall, and pretty fun. Then they have two jumps, one of which was closed and looked like it had entirely too much kick. After that there is a step down sorta jump, you have to get rid of all your speed to make sure you don't over shoot the 15 foot table and landing. The lower park has three rails and a jump. There is a long flat straight rail at the top that is very doable, just next to that there is a really short flat round rail. Then there is a jump that is about 15-20 feet but sketchy. Then there is a trapazoid rail that's pretty fun.

yea i hit it on saturday, the only worthwile jump was the one in the lower section of the park, i had to skate in from like 30ft ahead the gates of the park to be able to clear the table but after the table was this cool water ride deal, that was kind fun

 
The bottom park is done for the season. They're taking out the rails and the jump soon. There is talk about putting one of the flat rails on top of the cornice, I'm not sure if the park crew will get motivated enough to do it because they are pretty lazy.

yea i went up today, it sucked so bad, but then again it is may 30th and i'm skiing in 65 degree weather

 
yeah that box is so chill......too bad i didnt slide it. but the skimming was awesome
