hey whats a basin like around new years in terms of snow and terrain open? we are looking for a mountain near denver with good expert terrain, as well as a few beginner slopes for my parents, any other ideas?

forget that go over to keystone or breckenridge they are close to a basin and the partyin is so much better

They will probably have a good amount of terrain open. The west wall (blue bowls) will be open, if theyre not already, but the good stuff may not be open (pallivicini). If pallivicini is open then you will have a lot of fun, steeper than anything breck, vail, keystone or loveland will provide, and a lot more of it. As per the other suggestions people listed above, loveland is cool because it isnt very crowded, but nothing really spectacular, keystone is over-rated and there is nothing challenging there save the park. Breck is decent, chair 6, some stuff off peak 10 and of course the tbar stuff is ok, especially if you want to hike, of course the park kicks ass there.

how has no one mentioned copper? check out copper mtn bro, it has good stuff for everyone and I think is a bit chiller than breck... but of course, not much is chiller than a-basin or loveland. you gots tah love the old school resorts :)

anyone interested in some rossi soft boots size 27.5? worn for 1 hour tops inside :)
