most of last week was sick...they got 6 inches or so every night. i didn't expect to have a few mini-pow days last week, but i'm not complaining. the weekend saw pretty good condish too, but ridiculous amounts of people...hopefully this weekend is less crowded. if you need to stay closer due to a lack of car...look into staying in keystone...from there i'm sure you could hitch a ride up to the basin from someone for sure

But wouldn't staying at a resort like keystone cost quite a bit, since I'll be the only one going out there...

Is there a place stay out by Silverton???

 
if you can get to silverton, all the hotels in town are quite inexpensive...the skiing there is probably sick as fuck right now as they got probably two feet last week. the only hitch there is going to be getting there as it is at least 6 hours from denver

staying at keystone could be cheap, but silverton is definitely cheaper. you could either hitchhike or find a bus to abasin from there, its not too far. and keystone is not 6 hours from dia

just as a side note, jibij is holding their first weekend of the ski camp so expect the park to be pretty well filled up with kids

this weekend wont be crowded at abasin. the camp is only on sunday this weekend but the other sessions are still 2 day. i would give you a ride if you payd me a lot and i didnt have SAT. look up colorado mountain express online though like that kid said
