A-basin opening day

Ive been watching the webcams 24/7 With a little help from some colder weather and if they work their asses off, I think it could it could be friday... like two days from now...

where did you guys hear friday?
 
whatever dude, im stoked too even though I CANT go. im 95% positive its this weekend though, but if you drive up and its not open sucks for you
 
friday sounds so nice, and i looked at the forecast for loveland past for the next couple days, pretty much a chance of snow friday night through monday..so if not friday then only a day or so later..lets hope!

word up. I really want to go Sat or Sunday. It be so sick. Just chillin, and i get to wear all my new ski stuff. I think they'll be able to pull it off. Def check the webcam tomorrow morning and see if they made any more overnight
 
Being a first year A-basin pass holder I hate to ask such a simple (yet truly important question).

When they open (be it this friday or next) are they going to be open 7 days a week from there on out or will it just be long weekends until more snow/mother nature makes more runs glideable?

me too maing i already got a blunt rolled for friday, whether its opening day or its alleviating my depression...

Don't worry if their isn't snow down by the base of the lift. They make most of the snow higher up on the mountain and then the night before opening will push a ton of snow down with the cat to the base of the lift.
 
it was cold enough for them to be blowing at Loveland this morning. The frame on the A-Basin cam looks exactly like the one yesterday, maybe it's not updating?
 
iim almost positive it will be either friday or saturday, you would be surprised how much snow they can make in one night
 
Well shit... Im going down to boulder tonight for road to nowhere... It'd be nice to know... But w/e maybe Ill just get up early after a night of drinking and hope for the best haha At least its on my way home...
 
I called the mountain yesterday and they said they would be opening within a week, but thats all they would give me.

well fuck... is right, i was all ready to ride today, had my shit all packed up and everything, a fresh bag and case o beer, booo. if they open tomorrow shit will be ridiculously packed, ill wait till sunday/monday
 
It is going to be next Friday, unless Loveland opens friday than they may move it to Thursday to be the first open. They don't make their first day Saturday...I can't think of any year in the past 5 when them or loveland didn't open on a thursday or friday.
 
I thought it was a Thursday, sorry...It was just 1 day before loveland...I knew it was oct. 10, I just thought the days went back 1 day each year, like Oct. 10 this year was Friday so last year was thursday, but I guess that doesn't work.
 
after waiting painfully for months for this to happen, i'm leaving to go on college visits friday afternoon for all of fall break... damn it
