snow's gonna clear up and tons of fresh. cliffs in montezuma should be prime. lemme know if interested

Breck huck sess, claiming dubs off whales tail and possibly pyramid in lc. snow should be deep up there considering Peak 7 8 upper were closed today.

Where were you guys today? Most stompable conditions of the season.

^I'm glad you finally hit that. I remember you probing the landing like a month ago.

the conditions were just as good tuesday tho, me and a few random NS'ers I met were hucking a huge lip on the east wall. plenty of awesome lincolns and flatspins goin' down. I landed my first 3 off a cliff! w00t!

but keystone was epic today. It was seriously like skiing the PNW tho with all the fog and moisture in the air, but made the windows cliffs and montezuma cliffs oh so enjoyable.

glad to see some ski areas with 100+ inch bases, too. this season rules

props man, thats sick. A basin has been so damn sexy lately, I heard yesterday there wasnt a bump to be found on pali side.

sweet little edit. is that the chest mount? seemed like a really strange angle. i think im just used to seeing stuff from the helmet.

I actually ended up riding east vail that day (29th). We dropped off benchmark in abrahams and it was absolutely choker. Guy who dropped after us sent mushroom drop at least 65ft (got it on the gopro from a far). We hit the cliffs skiers left of mushie drop and they were super fun. Also sent the spine line right next to mushie.

We also caught the huge storm that hit tahoe a week before that and then back to CO for east vail 3 days in a row. Best march pow month ive ever had.

Bummp to ask if anyone has hit that international cliff from the top nose and/or if it is even possible....was looking at it today and i think u could do it if you sent it far out enough.....

I've been asking a bunch of the older rippers up there about it, and names that have hit it include John Mason, Scott Gaffney, and a few no-name, still-drunk-from-the-night-before locals. One year the winds moved the snow up it so it was only about 50 feet from the top to bottom, another year they measured from the top to a dude's bombhole and it was 88 feet.
The cliff is also known as "Kong," btw. I heard Ian Borgesen was "definitely going to hit it this year," and I have also been waiting for the right conditions.

I would assume Ollie falls into that category, one of the guys that always wins the Enduro, he skis like an animal on a regular basis yet is pretty unheard of outside of the basin.

if "kong" is the one I think you guys are talking about, pretty much the biggest cliff skiers left in the cliff band on International? My buddy hit it earlier this year, I have shitty contour footage from the bottom, did it kind of like a double drop though, not the entire thing.

Ollie is very humble, i had known him for a bit before ever finding out his history with the enduro and then I couldnt believe it. I am not so sure he is a big hucker though, but he does know every rock on the pali side obviously. And yes you describe it perfectly cause no one knows of his accomplishments in breck nor do they seem to care or talk about them.

Really doubt Ollie has hit it, I have seen him go big in E Vail though. I'll have to tell him he's making a name for himself in the CO ski gabber section of NS.

Late april some guy was claimin he hit kong, but there was no bomb hole to show for it and we barely got any snow to hit kong. Sounded like he was just tryin to make himself seem cool in the lift line.
