A Basin having no jumps this season?

What's with this? There's so much snow this season, they could at least put up two small kickers. Does anyone know who is behind this evil theorem?
 
A bay never has jumps. Go ski the amazing terrain and enjoy the best vibe in summit county. Also, if youre going fast enough, anything is a jump at a bay.
 
This is pretty shitty. They used to have a great end of the season park 5 years ago or so with two pretty decent kickers.
 
The park got downsized even more this year. The top pitch got taken away, mainly the park was left to the smaller and flatter section of the area. But as previously stated there are plenty of natural hits all over the mountain.
 
if you're not hitting the vast amount of hips and stepups that are around at the basin, you're doing it wrong. go hike the east wall or something.

although if eldora is closed, why are you still skiing OP? I thought you only liked eldora anyway? LOL
 
After skiing the Basin for over 25 years, I'm well aware of all the natural hits, but especially after Pali closes it's nice to be able to hit a couple of jumps after West Wall on the way back to Lenawee. Expecting a resort to put up 2 med. jumps is not really asking that much.

that's not the point? i'm just curious as to why they wouldn't set up any jumps in the middle of the mountain? It'd be fun hitting them on the way to the base area. I think you may have a stick up your ass. Did you do that on purpose?
 
saw something on their Facebook basically confirming that they will not be putting any up for the remainder of the season. something about jumps requiring too much snow. sounds like a cop out given the recent and forecasted snow.

theres essentially a 3 jump line in the land of the giants of natural large hits.....who cares?
 
I talked to a guy on park crew and he said they don't get access to the cats to build them, and the other groomers don't want to. They have to hand build everything, needless to say park crew wishes they had jumps too.

yeah just yesterday a buddy of mine got a few shots of people hitting them. you just gotta do the work to manicure the piles before you hit em.
