anyone who has ridden the 9thward firstbloods, any feedback on them. and any feed back on the STL's..trying to decide between the two
 
yeah right, the stls cant hold shit whereas i have skied park, pipe, and big mountain with my firstbloods and they hold on everything. they are a good stiff ski
 
i was really happy with my STL's. i had them center mounted and they still held their own out of the park. i wouldn't recommend them for anything less than 75% park, but in the park they are amazing. so so much fun to ride.
 
yeah thoes are two fairly different skis, a ninthward ski that would be comparabel to the STL would be the mik'd pro
 
Why not, because you like the ninthwards(odd how most if not all otp riders are on ninthwared). They are definately in the same category of ski, and are definately comparable.
 
i'm not going to debate the quality of the ninthward skis in any way, but to describe their team as "most if not all of the top riders"? that might be pushing it
 
He said OTP, not top... Offtrail productions are basically Ninthward's bitch movie company since they feature pretty much the whole ninthward team. Anyway, if you want to buy a core company, the odds are you're doing so to support skiing. If you want to support skiing, don't buy Ninthward. They have no problem undercutting other members of the core community, and that isn't cool. For that reason, I'd say buy 4frnt. But that has nothing to do with construction.
 
ha i owned myself, but there have been so many typos on here i wasn't sure. but yes, there has been some stuff they've done to the community but that's up to each individual to decide how that affects their decision.

yo dog, honestly your shit is getting old. you don't know shit man. i was filming the people i film BEFORE THERE WAS A NINTHWARD SKI. i've been filming and skiing with the same crew for the past 3 seasons. Before you go out and start talking shit on people you should check your fucking facts. Yeah Ninthward is a sponsor, but so are other companies. And I film who i want to, since it seems that you are implying that I am someones bitch.

I am glad that it gives you satisfaction to cut down that which you don't like, understand, or are perhaps intimidated by.

You know the Hate that you are spreading is exactly what the guys who run this site are tired of. what ever happened, happened. just leave it at that. this shit talking is getting old. just spread some love and if you don't like something state your educated opinion and leave it at that, instead of insulting everybody who says the N. word.
 
Ha, why would I be intimidated by them? Because they had a picture of a guy cleaning an M16 on their site? Riiight... anyway, I'm going to say "No", because I still get messages from people wanting to know what's up, and until that's no longer the case and it's generally common knowledge, I don't really feel like dropping it in general. However, I won't keep harping on it throughout an entire thread unless someone wants to pick a fight like you just did. And if you don't like what I post, don't read my posts. Simple solution for you.

Anyway, I just find it a bit tired that every ninthward thread has you coming and talking up the company, while every OTP thread has 9w kids going on about how it's the "best movie ever". Not that I've seen 11th hour, so I can't say it isn't, but it's still pretty blatant how your allegiances are influencing the opinions you all present. It's honestly pretty pathetic.
 
Wow how has nobody even mentioned the fact that this guy is comparing a park only ski with a Big mountain ski? Ninthward makes the Butterlicious to compete with the STL. Both are pretty much park only skis, and Nobody on this site has skied both I'd wager.

and as far as talking in threads, i say what i want about 9thward cause i believe it. a kid asks about the skis i tell him how i feel. if they were shitty skis i would say they are shitty skis, BUT THEY AREN'T. and if kids wanted to say that the movie wasn't good, they would, BUT THEY DON'T. obviously you are in the minority. maybe there is a reason for that.
 
See, I don't think you would say they were crap even if they were. You're talking up the skis because your riders are on the team. They do likewise for you. It's the same issue there was a little while ago with NS people backing up companies that pay them ad $ (except they actually put the issue front and center and DEALT with it). It's prostitution of opinion and it doesn't deserve anyone's respect. Anyway, enough about that. Thread isn't about OTP anyway.

Are you trying to say that anyone who shamelessly promote a ski brand they are affiliated with is some how acting unethically? It sounds like a judgement on all of Advertising itself, where do you draw the line? BTW OTP has probably skied the Ninthwards and you havn't so affiliated or not his understanding of the skis is a "point of veiw" which is infinitely more valid than an "opinion" as your experience with the skis is. Whether his testimony is true about the skis cannot be established but you havn't even skied them so how can you question him? I talk highly of at least some aspect of Every one of the 11 ski brands I am affiliated with because I have skied them all and I sell them all. Every ski out this year is better than every ski out five years ago anyway.
 
well i am saying, apart from my opinions on the integrity of each company, that i would recommend you get 4frnt skis.

Anyway. I'm saying that anyone who promotes a ski brand they are affiliated with and passes it off as an unbiased opinion (what? I don't work for company x. I work for company y! Clearly, you can listen to me) shouldn't be listened to. See, the thing is, it doesn't matter if he's skiied the 9wards. They could be tinfoil wrapped around 2x4s and he'd still give them a good review. That, I have a problem with. I never said the skis sucked. Damned if I know if they do. I said presenting an opinion in that way is something that should be pointed out lest someone actually LISTEN to him and treat what he says as a realistic opinion of the skis' performance. You talk highly of skis you sell to sell them. That's okay when you're in a sales atmosphere... I mean, hell, you're clearly working for the shop, you're expected to hype a product up. But misrepresenting a biased opinion as a neutral one? That should be flagged. Threads like this are designed to help people make the right decision for them (which may be absurd anyway, but that's beside the point). Saying, essentially, "Buy these skis because I'm affiliated with them" is crap.

Personally, when I make a comment about anything in this industry, it's because I actually believe it. Not because it's coming out of my interests, and not because it's going to get me something.
 
you are an idiot. if i didn't believ in the skis and think they are a sick ski i wouldn't be support it. period. the reason i say they are good skis, is because in my educated opinion they are a sick ski. i have skied so many skis that are on the market, and i feel that 9thwrads are good skis. that is my opinion, make up your own mind i don't care, but becareful, cause you might like them.
 
JD and offtrail both need lives... It's pathetic that you can argue with someone you don't even know about something so trivial.
