ok, so today i picked up my 170 93 mil magic sticks from getting some mojo 15s mounted on them and they seem all good and whatnot but when i got home and put my boot in i noticed that they were center mounted, not 2cm back like i specifically asked for. I ski about 60/ 40 park/pow but i want to ski more pow/all mnt than i did before. is the center mount gonna work ok or should i go back and bitch about it?

I have my 180, 93 Magicsicks mounted at dead center and i love them. However ive only skied park on them so far so i cant speak for performance in other areas.

just to state a fact.... BOONE SKIS SUCK

but if your ever gunna mount a ski thats gunna be riden in park at all mount it true center.....? thats what i do

WOW. u are badly misinformed.
To the OP: Try them at center and see if you like them, they should be fine, but if you really hate it I would bring them back and get the shop to remount for free. Two mounts wont hurt the structural integrity of the skis.

you should actually measure it out. the center line on the boones is just a part of the graphic, so it doesn't always line up. my park skis are mounted dead center, which is actually a couple cms ahead of where the line is. so it's possible the shop tech mounted them correctly, but the line is just off a lil bit.
that being said, that ski rides just fine at center.

^eh kinda. armada's are the same way. you gotta double check the measure cuz the graphic doesn't line up, but it doesn't mean the skis suck.

actually i was there when the guy at the shop measured it and the line was exactly true center. i guess since i told him i wasn't sure if the line was actually gonna match and told him to measure where the actual center was he got confused and mounted them center even though i told him to mount it 2cm back from center. but oh well i guess i'll try it out. i guess he wrote true center on the invoice sheet too...probably shoulda double checked that before i left :S

seen that on tons of companies. armada, rossignol, bluehouse, etc. you should always measure your skis.

^^ Boone accepts constructive criticism gladly. But just stating that they "SUCK" when you have never riden on them makes you sound pretty stupid.

The company has a good outlook on things and anyone who is interested in riding boones should ask someone who skis on them for opinions. If you are not interested in boone skis then just don't ever ride them...................But don't hate on a company trying to make a name for themselves just like everyone else in the industry.

This is a problem with sandwhich construction skis in general. The centerline is printed on the top sheet and the top sheet is always layed perfectly on the skis. Both the 4FRNT rep and the Armada rep told me this when they came to my shop to do clinics. Your always supposed to measure the skis becuase the lines arent always perfect.
