i don't understand why people are proud of the 90's. i'm a 90's kid. the 90's fucking sucked. there was nothing better about the 90's except Sailor Moon and Rugrats and the fact that 9/11 hadn't happened yet so it was easier to watch the news without thinking "why are they talking bullshit on the news?" aside from that the 90's were pretty fucking lame and i am glad they are over (except Sailor Moon and Rugrats).

there's never been a generation that became so nostalgic, so quickly like kids from the 90s. And then became so defensive of it.

Plus most of that shit is still around. Just you aren't 8 years old anymore so you don't see it or care about it.

What bothers me most about this thread is how young so many ns'ers are. Not only do i have memories from before a lot of you were born, but I was already well on my way through school.

I think you guys are confusing the difference between a 90's BABY and a 90's KID.

90's kids were having skip-it battles for slap-bracelets and pogs loooooooong before cell phones and even pagers. We were pumping up our shoes on the 4-square court while singing the ninja turtles theme song on the way home to watch Saved by the Bell and some Inspector Gadget to farm that crush on Penny. I had an Atari when it was fuckin' baller. I bought Temples of Boom and Doggystyle the years they came out. I listened to Kurt Cobain before he killed himself and actually remember it. I wanted to bang Cindy Crawford in a Countach. You know, 90s shit.

90's babies did none of those things. Nahmeen?

If you were born in the 90s, you didn't really experience them imo. Not trying to hate, just don't get why kids like Kangbang would claim it so hard lol... I don't remember the 80s for shit and therefore wouldn't consider myself an 80s kid in the least.
 
The only flaw with these pants was when you dove or fell on your knees cause I just remember those zippers being fucking painful.
 
i was born in 91, and according to your opinion i didn't really experience half of my life, the half where i was a kid. Saved By The Bell ended in 93 and the Atari sold so poorly in the 90's you'd have to be retarded to think it was "baller." yeah i listened to Nirvana (they're not that old brah) and drew Countach's and Diablo's daily, stole my dad's Playboy's and wondered at Cindy Crawford and Pamela Anderson, all without having been born in the 80's.

my opinion still stands that almost everything about the 90's actually sucked (unless you're looking at all of the crap through nostalgia glasses) and that's why none of it has survived to this day. i still say there's no good reason to be proud of the 90's. they won't go down in history as some great decade that revolutionized change in anything (except the gaming industry and hip-hop, which are still being revolutionized and in far better ways), whereas our parents can say they lived through the 60's, 70's, and 80's. nobody will make movies about the 90's ten years from now except to make fun of them.

Oh and that whole internet thing that kicked up and went wild in the 90's, yeah nobody will ever look back on that as a monumental decade.

I remember a lot of shit from the 80s, I'll always call myself a 90s kid though.
