I've recently been trolling the web in search of the shit I listened to in middle school and was wondering if any of you guys have any tracks from these 90's-ish indie bands.

Knapsack

Hot Water Music

Sunny Day Real Estate

Osker

Getup kids

the jealous sound

also, if you have any more bands like these guys, post em up.

some of these arent technically 90's indie but they're indie/indie rock that i enjoy and you might too.

Yes sir. Pinback's fucking awesome. Although not so much 90s...similar style though.

Haven't heard much of American Analog Set, have to check that out.

Maybe check out Built to Spill, The Dismemberment Plan, Broken Social Scene, that type of stuff.

if you like pinback then you should check out three mile pilot a band with zach smith in it (pinback) some awesome songs, but a little darker than pinback

to both you guys that quoted me. i have heard of those bands except the Dismemberment Plan one though so i will go check that out. not trying to be a dick or anything i just have heard of them. honest truth eh.
and i dont get how Pinback wouldnt be a 90's band? they were releasing albums throughout the 90s. and word if youre looking into American Analog Set you wanna look up the songs Punk as Fuck, Hard to Find, Gone to Earth and The Postman. some of their more popular songs. but im giving you a wide range so yo can get the diversity of their sound in 4 easy steps haha.
Punk as Fuck just so happens to be my favorite song of all time. has been for years. have heard alot of music. im a dj myself. and it never gets old to me.

He Wins.

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr. Is the best album of music ever put together.

And everything by the pixies.

add:

Sebadoh

archers of loaf

icky mettle is arguably the best album of the 90s, in my opinion.

that is, when you disregard neutral milk hotels 'in an aeroplane over the sea'...that album transcends any decade and falls more into a 'best album of all time' position.

could be...listen to if youre feeling sinister, now thats serious biz.

after that, listen to every other album. you wont be bummed.

land of talk

cat power

wolfmother-some songs sound kinda indie-rock but most of them sound like sabbath. still epic and awesome as fuck

wolfparade

margot and the nuclear so and sos

why?

devendra banhardt

angels of light

akron family band

some of these are folk and not indie but still damn good. check em out.

if your into HWM check out chuck ragans solo shit. its awesome.

Dino Jr keeps getting dropped and while J Mascis is one of my favorite arts, you can't consider them Indie, especially their sound during the height of their career - the late 80's and 90's. Dinosaur Jr. should be more classified with grunge during their early days. I mean, J was one of Kurt Cobain's biggest artistic influences.
Continuing with the OP's thread though, I'm a fan of Neutral Milk Hotel, the Smiths, the Strokes and the Cure

nice job grammar police serving and protecting

i agree with you on the icky mettle talk i cant believe i forgot about that album.

you were really surprised that nobody said cake? and then you have the audacity to mention "the distance" as a recomendation?

whatre you, built to chill?

YEASAYER
all hour cymbals will make your ears cum buckets, probably my favorite album (i think they may be quasi indie, but fuck it (tehehe, butfuck))

yeasayer's first album was released in 2007.

late, bro. and thats like saying your favorite album is like, adam ant's kings of the wild frontier during a discussion of the best garage rock album of the 60s.

plus yeasayer is a joke. unwritten law had a good drummer too, and theyre a joke. yeasayer...same boat, different mustache.
