90mm vs 100mm waist park/jib/surf ski

Skis are getting wider and wider so for a park/jib/surfing around mountain ski what do you prefer? I haven´t skied wider skis(once some extra fat K2 reverse camber bananas when I was a kid, was horrible on groomed snow) but does the extra 1cm matter on for example one foot or 50/50 on rails or butters? Or does the extra width bring much extra weight?

My skiing is more on the chill side rather than doing tripleswap pretz 8 and i was thinking Nordicas Soul Rider 87 or 97.

Or Line Blend but I prefer short sidecut.

95% on groomed snow

Maybe K2 Marksman for over 100/pow riding but still staying surfy but also kartel98 would be a good option

By surfing i didn´t mean pow riding, just describing the style of skiing. Also looking for a soft ski.

More interested about overall affect on width of skis than a particular model.

Not looking for a specific ski, i am trying to get some opinions on wider versus narrow skis for park.

Comes down to personal preference. Some people like ripping 80mm underfoot skis in the park and others like wider skis. My park setups are 100 and 104mm underfoot and I like them both. I dont really like skinner skis since I spend 95% of my time on 115+ underfoot skis, but that’s just me. If you’re ripping around the mtn and doing a little off piste on top of park then I’d recommend a wider ski since that will be better for a variety of conditions.

Personally when you say surfing I would say Line Blend. I have a pair of 178cm 2017 Line Blends and love them. I centre mounted them and you are more than able to take them all mountain and surf with them. Soft, buttery, and they are fun to pop around with. I also like the 100mm waist compared to 90mm cause it just seems more fun, regardless of being all mountain or just in the park. Just make sure you have the right bindings. Personally on Blend you should go with some Griffons, Jester, or Tyrolia attack 13, up to personal preference though. Hope this helps.

T.hanks for the input people! Had the chance to ski some lightweight "pow" which is rare occasion here in southern Finland and came to conclusion that i need wider ski and more money to go skiing somewhere where there are more powder. All comes to finding good deals for now on. Probably need more heavy duty bindings than 13 din because i`m not that lightweight... 190lbs
