90mm or 110mm?

So Im buying jesters ans we speak from the shop employee store and Im wondering what brake is better for a On3p Jmo, the jmo is 96 underfoot. Do i take 90mms and bend them out or just go with 110 but that would be annoying wouldnt it?
 
for me personally a wider brake then the ski's midwaist has always seemed to work better on my stuff. I'm running a 100mm brake on my Line chronic crypts, no hang ups, brakes always function good. With my olders skis running a 85mm waist and bending the brakes out to clear, they would hang up and sometimes not clear the edges. I'm no ski tech, but I would say the 100mm brake.

how do none of you kids not know basic math? honestly, what do you think would be better? a break thats slightly small that you bend to fit perfectly, or a brake thats is to big from the start and that will always be to big
 
well buddy i work in a shop where the guys been mounting skis for 25 years and he said bending a break too much will effect the mechanics of it. So i was just asking to see what would be best.
 
as long as you're careful and don't bend too rapidly or too many times, the brakes will be fine. I've done it plenty of times without breaking any brakes.
 
4mm is a small measurement. I would go with the 100mm brake, that way you don't have to worry about any bending. Maybe running a wider brake has a drawback that i'm not aware of? I do know my narrow brakes bent to fit sucked.
 
3mm bend on either side will not effect anything

if people can fit OG fks on EPs you can bend 6 mm
 
he's chosing between 110 and 90. The skis are 96 underfoot, so that's 3mm wider on each side. I doubt you'd even have to bend, maybe just shave off some of the plastic on the brake so it doesn't catch. Way better that having brakes that catch when your carving switch.

fyi I had no problem fitting 130mm Tyrolia brakes on my Donner Partys which are 140 underfoot without bending them.
 
go with the 90, you'll have no issues whatsoever. I've sold hundreds of pairs of this binding over the last couple of years and I doubt you will even have to truly bend the brake arms out. Just a slight tweak if anything.
 
go with the 110. you say the skis are 96 underfoot but you dont mount the brake right underfoot do you? the break will be set back a little on a part of the ski that is slightly wider. I would say it would be more like 100mm there making a 90 mm brake much to small and the 110mm not hang over all that much

I've had a pair of 4FRNT MSP's with Jesters..

Didn't bent them.. just mount them.. brakes hit the sidewall a tiny bit.. no problems ever had..

 
i ride an 81 waist ski with a 100 break on it and it doesnt bother or affect me at all. there not jester thou.
