90mm brakes on 92mm waist chronics? Plus questions.

Will that work? I'm toying with the idea of buying an entirely new setup for myself for my birthday. So a few questions...

1: Rocker on manmade snow; if you ski it a lot you'll know it can sometimes be super heavy and sand like, and your tails get stuck in it so much. Tips too. Is rocker helpful there? I know they barely have rocker, but still.

2: Can anybody compare them to the skinny chronics, from 08/09 or 07/08 or similar, cause that's what I'm on. I just learned butter 360s off small jumps, so I'm hoping the slight rocker will help me take them off bigger jumps, and I've skied a few wider skis and liked it a lot. I like butters and like to pretend I'm a worse version of garrett russel.

3: Size... I'm small, 5'5" barely 120lbs, 171s? I ride 166cm chronics right now, they're about as tall as me, just a bit shorter. I've skied 185 jjs (not that they're a hard ski to ride, dat rocker) and 168 nomads (the stiff ones, which are quite stiff for somebody my size) and 171 or something nomad rkrs with no problem. So I'll probably be fine, plus the shorter size would be way too little. So this is a non issue. SO I don't know why I typed that...

4: Ways to keep me attached to the ski... STH 12s driver toe, or similar. I ride a DIN of 6, I don't need a 16 DIN binding, clearly. Hence the 90mm brake on a 93mm ski. Looking for something nice this time, I've got older salomon z12s, I could probably step up to something a bit fancier and with hopefully a bit more elasticity. PX 12s sound fine too.

5: Where is recommended mount on 171s? Is it the same as 178s, which is listed as -4cm. I'll probably do -2 or -3.

I like park, I also like skiing the rest of the hill, moguls if my hill ever has them. But as far as I'm concerned, a park ski is an all mountain ski if you jib round the rest of the hill. And I like my current chronics, but the new ones look so sick. I ski in jersey and where ever else my travels take me.

Wait, they also make sth 12 drivers with a 100mm brake. That solves that problem...

So, does a sth or px12 or something have better retention properties than a z12? I don't know if I need to start riding a 7 or not, but I come out doing stupid things sometimes. Like on scrubbed landings on 270s off little rails, I came out turning twice, once forward and once switch. Sometimes when I ollie hard I just pop out and look like a noob. What are other people of my size riding? Could also be shitty technique.

I ollied a snow chunk once and lost a ski, and almost landed back in it. Well I landed on it, but the heel was down so it didn't stay with me for long.

I would centre mount, but I like centre mount on basically all my skis. 2mm is nothing on the break width you'll be fine/the shop or you can bend em a bit if you're worried.

The rocker should help in the man made snow it will alsojust make them more fun to ski around on for the size 171 woulde be only a 5 cm jump and if you center mounted them it would be barely noticable. Hope this helped!

Yeah I kinda assumed that. Now I'm just looking to see if anybody can compare them to the skinny chronics from the days of olde.
