so im told mount snow now has a 90ft table, which is nuts, but really on a given day, how many people acctually will hit a jump that big? probaly none. it seems like resorts are just making things big just so they can say there park is huge ex. the superduper pipe, with 18-22ft walls and whatnot at sundayriver, okemo, and mammoth, and others maby. Ive noticed however that personaly these pipes suck. Evertime i boost, i hit the deck hardcore. it seems that in competetion as well, athletes perfer more traditional 16ft walls, ex. xgames, us open, and various vans triple crown snowboard contests, meh i guess i just whish resorts would focus on quality and not size.

nah dude, having one 70-90 ft table can never hurt. I'm sure kids would hit them. I mean I haven't been on one that big on the east coast, but out west they have plenty of huge tables and lots of good skiers hit them. However, there is some value to your point. Why not just make some really sweet 50-60 footers?

The pipe rant you went on makes no sense. Maybe you can't ride it, but Okemo's 18.5ft pipe is a sick pipe, and there are hundreds of kids boosting in it every day......as far as a 90 ft. table at snow, they usually build that around this time of the season for the major comp. at the end of the year.

60 footers sick, anything can be thrown with style over a 60 footer, biggest table ive ever hit was a 70 footer and i jsut 3ed it and even that scart the piss out of me

well Aspen is going in the opposite way... last year we had a 60-70 foot table up all year, got to be 80 at the end when DC switch 10ed it. Anyway they got threatened with 5 different suits about the dangers of the park... one man said that Aspen was trying to kill people with that park. so they toned everything down this year Big side is supposed to be 45-50 feet max, but our rails are sick so i dont complain too much... plus snowmass already has a 65 up, so if you want jumps go there

nah used to be a 72 footer followed by a 40' but they upgraded it the other week to a 90 footer followed by a 60'. I broke my binding on the 72' which led to me getting a concussion later that day. the 90 footer scares me - its fucking huge - but kids still huck their meat off of it every day - check out sasfilms.com for some vids

and i totally agree about the pipe issue - mtn creek (NJ) just 'upgraded' their superpipe - the thing had huge potential for greatness, but of course they ruined it by making it way too big - the thing goes vert at like 15' and then keeps on goin for like another 10'. ur just riding up the wall when you could be getting air! and the whole thing is so big the tranny feels like ur in a cave. bigger doesn't necessarially mean more air - 18' should be the pipe limit

 
The higher a pipe wall is the more you deck? Are you on crack fool? It's practically impossible to hit the deck with walls that big.

 
thsi is the first time mt snow has pushed the table that big..its sick, but is only good for the best riders. hopefulyl they downsize it for the slopestyle

i think it's awesome they've got a 90 foot table. i don't hit it, but I know a few that do. and if I was good enough and lived on the east coast, I'd be happy that shit's around. How else are kids with the talent for it supposed to compete with kids from the west at places like whis and mammoth.

as far as quality, all of mt. snow's jumps are built pretty decent.

 
at my hill in michigan theres a 90 or so footer, but its terrible, its about 10 feet tall and if u miss the landing by 5 feet either way u get carted off, im pretty sure no oone has ever hit it

yeah i remember when it was 72ft and that alone was pretty nuts... 90feet must be really insane. And concerning pipe, anything over 18feet is just too much in my opinion.. you dont need that much pipe, until pipe riding has progressed further.

a ton of people hit the 90 foot table its built well and its a sick jump mount snow represents with a ton of good skier that ski it day in and day out like lippiat who throws rodeos over it and ryan vescovi who kills it also sasfilms has a couple ok clips of it...they dont build it just to say they have it the build it for us

Yea, 90 isnt too small, you would get use to it probly take me a day or so to do a 3 over it but it would be fucking sick.

the main problem with something 90 ft is usually the landing, but it sounds like this is built well. 90 ft wont kill you as long as you stick it and don't case it. I will tell you what I love though, it stupid park builders =P in my park there are only two real hits, the first is a 35 footer which you can never make even with pole-tow in and the second is about 30 with a not very steep take off with a really steep tranny. Fun =P

some place on the east has finally stepped it up and built a big jump that is actaully smooth and hitt-able. tons of props to mount snow. if you don't want / can't hit a 90 footer they have plenty of other jumps + a whole other park that has lots of 20-45 footers. lippiatt has been waitin his whole life to hit a jump this big. he's not the only one who is trickin it either. yeah maryland

^ ya, i think he has a point, hills might make these jumps to get more ppl to know about them, like for that one jump, they also have a better reason to have a team
