Pay your respects to the 3023 people dead in the terrorist bombing of the World Trade Centers on September 11th, 2001.

We will never forget you.

word.

but the centers didnt get bombed...

and no this better not turn into a governmental argument thread.

wordd.

i hear theyre building the freedom centre soon. i dont know if im for it or against it

they've been building things there for a while now, but theres still nuthin there...i think its gonna be another few years before anything is actually started

and a year ago today i got my license hooah!

shut up you ugly mother fucker. thats right bitch we all know how ugly you are, you have no say in anything. and ahah yeah it is a pretty cheesy pic, wheres the screamin eagle haha oh well though.

I'll be for it as long as it's named anything but the Freedom Center.

There def. should be something built there... really sucks it hasn't been done yet.

Just a really corny name is all.

I mean wouldn't something else be better? Like a name that pertains to what happened there. "9-11 Remembrance Museum." You know something like that.

get the fuck out of here dude. are you kidding me? you're serious about that? it's sacks of shit like you why extremists want us dead and why half the world hates us. all they see are fuckers like you and they think people like you are all our country's composed of. do you really have absolutely no decency or respect for the thousands of people lost?? i can't believe you, or anyone like you for that matter, that's a completely inhuman comment that should never be uttered or even considered by someone. even if you were kidding, you think this topic is a fucking joke? should we all get a couple laughs from this? you make me fucking sick.

well I guess that the day Martin Luther King Jr. was killed is no big deal, because it happened a long time ago and it was only 1 person. Your fucking dumb and so is your cute little screen name

im all for it because they are going to put it off to the side of the area and put 2 vacant footprints of where the towers used to be like the foundatoin and finish it off nice. i think it will be cool because there will be a new building showing that we came back from it but also 2 footprints showing that we wont forget about them ever

word.

it is a huge deal. its probably the biggest event to happen in most of the people on this sites lives. it might not effect our day to day lives but in the long run it has had a profound effect on all of america whether you believe me or not. we can never forget those thousands that died, risked their own lives, and those still dying from enhaling things while trying to rescue people

but really no arguing i wish the mods would delete that post that the ugly lost 666 kid made just so this thread wont turn into some political arguement

i think they should just flatten the ground and cover the top with granite that has memorials carved into it, or something like that, i think it would have a bigger impact considering that the towers were built on such valuable land in NYC, and to sacrifice that land in memory of the people that died/heros of 9/11 would be a lot more significant that a multi million dollar building that would probably charge admission and make the government money.

I was there the week before it happened and I was talking to people who died in the attacks. One of my dads very good friends died in the attacks. My dad used to WORK in the twin towers.

It was the first domino that started the Iraq war, the search for Osama, and basically all that shit in the middle east right now.

3023 people dead in 2 attacks. No big deal my ass.

while i completely agree with the fact that a freedom center wont do justice for what happened, nothing will so we might as well establish something

they should put up like a giant memorial with all the people who died in the buildings and all the soldiers who died in iraq, like the vietnam memorial

no it's because we go into their countrys and fuck up their systems try to play them and destroy the economies, all for our gain,

and by its not that big of a deal i meant its not a big deal that today is 9/11 not that 9/1 wasnt a big deal

This is an important day to remember the anger that we Americans had and how revenge never gives closure.

3000+ Americans killed on 9/11

thousands of American service men and women killed in Iraq

Nearly 80 thousand Iraqi civilians killed and more than half a million people displaced from their homes. Not to mention civilian deaths in Afghanistan.

A unfounded war and the true "master mind" of 911 still free and alive.

And last but not least severely strained international relationships.

RIP.

I still remember the day it happened. The whole day was sketch and they wouldn't tell us what was going on. When I got home my dad was waiting for me, which he doesn't normally do, and he filled us in. We were just talking in history about who remembers the day it happened. I'm a junior in hs now and all of us remembered the day, but he said some of the current sophomores and freshmen didn't. I thought that was pretty crazy.

im gonan hold my tongue a bit on this since people are already pissed at me, but this is redic. revenge? 9/11 was their revenge against us.

we don't TRY to fuck up their economies. Before we were in the middle east the economies were pretty shitty. Some are pretty amazing too, look at Saudi Arabia. Many wealthy people live there, and their oil prices dominate the rest of the world, partly because a lot of oil is there...

Don't start a government debate man. The USA is the most powerful country in the world, and some middle eastern countries hate us for it. This is partly because they envy us, or that our entire country are "infidels." I give them the right to believe that...but if we were in fact all going to burn in hell, shouldn't they practice what they preach and let us suffer in the afterlife rather than commit murder, the worst sin of all?

All the hypocrisy in the world was shown in that one action. And it was definitely not the USA's fault.

9/11 was a religious fundamentalist attack against the united states mainly for placing troops in the holy land of Saudi Arabia during the Iran Iraq war and the first gulf war. The cole and the embassy bombings of the late 90's were revenge. 9-11 was a calculated attack against American civilians.

Afghanistan was an attempt to remove a breading ground for terrorists and capture the so called mater mind of 911 Osama Bin Lauden. Who as the 911 commission report says really only bank rolled the operation and had little to do with the planning. Previous administrations as well the current administration as well as poor intelligence are mainly to blame for the complete surprise and complacency witnessed on 911.

The Iraq war was was an effort to create an mini Venezuela in the middle east to drop of surplus international goods and stabilize global oil markets as well as setting up a US backed democracy in Iraq. This plan was laid out by the Heritage foundation and made possible by public support and mis information stemming from anger derived by the September 11th attacks.

That is what I was referring to and any person that gets on my ass for presenting the truth and "turning this into a political thread" has no idea what the loss of life means and that the greatest injustice is not forgetting the people that have died but forgetting why they died.
