To put it simply, Phish is better than any other band. And they're from VT and used to hang out with my parents. Phish is the reason I started and have continued to play piano, someday I am going to start a Phish tribute band called Ghoti (pronounced Phish)

Phish is good when they don't play their new stuff. Keep it old school. Farmhouse and Round Room blow. But they are still fun to see. Hopefully the play the Gorge this summer. I really want to see a show there.

farmhouse is great. how can you not like sleep, dirt, and the piper? and round room is a good cd to listen to on mornings in the wintertime.

i have 12 Phish albums, including Trey's self titled album, and i can honestly say that i love every album. Hoist, Rift, Slip stitch and pass, Phish: A live one, Story of the ghost are my faviorates. The Siket Disc is cool too, more jammy and trippy though, amazing to listen to while smokin some hash.

Phish is definatley my all time faviorate band, my cousin got me liking them back when i was 8 or so. in my opinion the only other band that comes close is Greatful Dead and Hendrix.

when i go to take pictures, i jsut trip out listenin to phish, then go out with my camera. cause you have to listen to some of their stuff in a different way to really appreciate it, so once it gets me in that 'altenative thinking' mindset, ill get some good ideas

sense you have so many albaums why dont you start collecting shows? ive started my collection and im around 70 shows so far. 93 is my favorite year, everything was so smooth then and thats when phish was still playing the smaller venues but start to be come big. there winter tour was terrible but what can you expect. summer tour was surprising and you could tell that they were starting to get there shit together. ive got the 4 fall tour shows and i can safely say that PHISH HAS THEIR GROOVE BACK!

CB i dont know what you are talking about plenty of good live songs came out of farmouse twist piper and dirt. Round Room isnt quite as string but did you go to any of the post hiatus shows or listen to any of them yet? If you are judging phish by what they create in the studio then you should check out live shows. Seven below is a fucking sweet song live i have heard multiple good versions, and 46 days has an awesome jam but i think the vocal section is a little gay.

Phish is by far my favorite band it is the only thing in the entire world i like better than skiing. There isnt a single song i dont like as of now, sometimes a song wll get a little old but i still like it all. Cant wait to go to another show.

if you say you like all the phish songs then you must not have heard farmhouse yet, as far as post hiatus goes, 03 winter tour is turning out to be incredible, really amazing shit, except the crowd is really gay, they start screaming over the stupidest shit, gets really annoying

 
Jmw i bought farmhouse the day it came out like 4 years ago. Phish has bee my favorite band shicen I have had a favorite band. Sitting next to me I have hundreds of cds from phish shows i slowly have accumulated. Last winter was relatively weak only a couple highlights. Some of the new songs from round room came out good 7 below was the highlight. I think winter was like a warmup for summer. This summer blew me away tons of crazy shit was played. Utah show is unbelievable 2nd night alpine kansas 1st second night at deer creek atlanta and IT were all awesome shows. I enjoy pretty much everything phish does, nothing they play i dont like. I have listened to plenty of phish there really isnt a stage of phish i have not heard yet which is why im happy they are still playing

yeah i was refering to farmhouse the song, not a fan at all, anyways. i was at alpine too and i thought the second night was incredible page was so amazing that night. hopefully this summer i plan to go to alpine and finish up the tour from there

 
phish and OAR are two of the best. go out and buy the live sugarbush show, and story of a ghost. best phish stuff ever

31 Phish shows under this belt. Managed to see the entire Summer 2000 tour minus Alpine Valley. And then half of the Fall 2000 tour just before the hiatus. All the shows I've seen can't compare to 94-97 phish that I've heard though. I didn't really get on board until 97-98. I've only seen 1 show since the hiatus was over though. Also seen Widespread Panic just under 100 times as well. They kinda lost their spark after Houser died. And a ton of other bands a bunch too....MMW, moe., Sector 9, etc. But I don't just do the hippie thing. I see a lot of hip-hop and progressive indie rock too.

i went to the 20th anniversary show. like you, i've seen a bunch of other bands too. the dead, the slip, disco biscuits, deep banana blackout, mmw, keller williams, bob dylan, bela fleck and the flecktones, i'm no hippie
