80gb ipod video or 8gb itouch?

I had the same dilemma for christmas, and I've decided on the video.

The touch is cool but its way too small, the video is huugee and alot cheaper
 
video if you want something good. touch if you just want to wow friends. or the new zune which is sweet except the new software sucks.

either way get a shuffle or a sansa express for skiing too. or step it up and get a nano for skiing.

your call. (I have a Zune gen. 1 (30gb hard drive) for everything and a sansa express for skiing.(3 gb flash memory w/ mini sd card)
 
are you fucking kidding me? I have an 8 gig touch and its fuckin incredible. I can get on the internet at work and its so easy to use.. it seems like the sound quality is WAY better then on my old ipod.. its just unreal.
 
Video. touch is gonna get smudgy and disgusting, and with the video, you get 10x the amount of music/movies. If your heart is set on the touch, I'd wait a year for the new gen to come out. This is first year for apple touch screens. I'd wait til' they've got it down.
 
iv got a 4 gig phone and an 80 classic. get the phone its soooo fucking sick. a lot nicer in hand than the touchs, and you can get on the net wherever whenever and you no longer need to carry a phone... ladies love iphones
 
deff the video. come on, 10 times the storage, without a fancy touchscreen and internet that you can only use in a hotspot anyway.
 
Two days ago I would have said Video no doubt. But I really started playing aroung with my friends 16 gig touch and it is so amazing. And I didn't realize how tiny it was. So if I were you I'd just wait till the 30 gig touch came out. Problems solved.
 
I would say the touch, all the bullshit about the screen getting all smudgy is B.S , I LOVE my touch , srly ! It's great to be able to go on the internet (it's almost like a labtop!) and the touchscreen is just awesome. Also, let's face it, it's not like you could listen to 80gb of music on one battery life... just make playlist with your 8 gb favorite beats of the moment and have fun with your Ipod Touch. Oh and another plus is the fact that it's 8gb FLASH and not a harddrive, it means no more laggy, wierd waiting at each song or while browsing. It's also a lot harder to break than a classic ipod.

trust me and go with the touch!
 
touch if u have wifi in ur house. than you can go on youtube and web browser... NS! and other things you might like to do privately on the net....
 
With the touch jailbroken you can do anything you want with it. I have NES games on it, iphone applications like stocks and weather, and watching videos is much easier and makes you less car sick.

Havent taken it skiing and never will 1) cause its worth $400 and 2) because i have a shuffle.

They are also supossed to be coming out with VOIP for the itouch which lets you call cell phones and land lines in wifi hotspots. http://touchmods.blog.com/ is what it would look like. Unfortunately it wont be out for a while. if you dont want to jailbreak i would go for a video.

Skiing - go for a video or a touch and a shuffle but i dont know what ur financial standing is.

The touch can only hold 1750 songs but i find that sufficient i also have 3 or 4 ski movies on it and its maybe half full. So it all comes down to what ure using it for and how many songs

 
are you kidding me? maybe you should do some research before saying this! the touch actually have flash memory with is A LOT less fragile than a hard drive, I broke my ipod video 3 times, the touch is a LOT less fragile, and the touchscreen is seriously indestructible and truly scratch proof

Yea the touch is actually just incredibly indestructable. I've seen someone try to scratch the screen with box cutters (demo by apple in person) and it wouldnt do it.
 
yup thats what i was trying to point out. if your gonna take your ipod skiing, running, or even just traveling with it, the classic ipods will break on you. thats why should go with the shuffle, nano, or touch and nothing else.
