I'm just curious... my girlfriend has a 13" Macbook new as of January '08, and I've got a 15" Macbook Pro purchased July '06. We have an open wireless network we've been using in our apartment, and no matter where we are, she always has much better signal strength than I do.

ie; She gets full signal strength while I am on a single bar and losing connection frequently (every 5 mins). Now, this is my day to day network strength, it doesn't get any better than that (but hey, it's free).

I'm wondering, does anyone know if the new Macbooks have entirely new hardwear or if this N enabler may also improve Wireless G performance?

I know for a fact the router we're getting the internet from is not a Wireless N router (It's a very open network, I logged into the router and modified it to suit my needs).

yea when im trying to pick up connections here and there with my bro..hes got a 13" macbook and i got a macbook pro i purchased like in august...the macbooks get better connect and sometimes my pro cant even fuckn connect...kinda sounds like teh same problem bro
