8 year old kids will become terrorist due to call of duty?

for those of you who haven't been lucky enough yet to play the new call of duty, there is a level where you just walk through an airport and kill everyone(not a spoiler since its like the second level). well fox news seems to think that this will turn kids into terrorist.

 
Wow. Figures they would find a guy who can barely speak to defend MW2. I could have made that old guy look stupid.
 
if anyone recalls when hillary clinton got her panties all knotted up about the GTA games and went rip on all of those. its a video game, most people in america are smart enough to realize that.

no matter how much i hate fox they do make a good point...i really dont understand how kids loves these games so much im more into GTA the fuckin cameras on shooters is so confusing its hard to see where the enemys are
 
fox news is so gay, that news reporter clearly had his minded made up before he even had read the two guys names off, so fuck him and then he of course seems to hate the game more than the guy from the commensence.com and then they cut the guy from slash gamer off when he is trying to make his point at the end. fox news is so gay.

This will blow over and games will become more innovative and edgy just like movies. People who fight change always loose which is why Fox news is full of losers.
 
yay for 8 year old kids playing M-rated games.

but really they should make a game where you just run around with a katana and a wakizashi cutting people apart. then i'd have something to blame my choices on.

Im a bit pissed that the gamer guy didnt mention the obvious irony of fox proposing a video game should be banned or whatever whilst promoting the war which they claim is fought for "American values" such as free speech.

people are giving fox news shit because they dont really give a shit about the violence, only the fact that "it turns 8 year olds into terrorists".

yeah it actually didn't say it would turn kids into terrorists at all. The closest thing you could compare that to is when he says "doesn't stop kids from turning into terrorists and killing people in a video game." There is a little thing called context that you all seem to be ignoring. Don't get me wrong, i think it's bullshit to attribute video games as the sole cause of violence but still, give the guy a fuckin break he is doing his job.
 
If you really do act as a terrorist, and if you should "know thy enemy" then what better way to prevent terrorism then to act as a terrorist in a FAKE video game? The theories and practices are instilled, so kids can have a better knowledge in the future if they ever enter the military as to how a terrorist may plan things. Am I right?

if this game was only played by its target audience then this problem wouldnt exist.

parents have no problem going into a store and buying it for little johny, then bitching when its too violent.

not only that but the game provides a offensive warning which allows the player to skip certain portions of the game that might be offensive to some players.

i beg to ask, what is the difference between call of duty and say, power rangers.

power rangers dress up and kick ass all day long, then they call on megazords to fight megadouchebags and always end up leveling city blocks, all of which is geared to young children.

its power rangers fault that i like call of duty and call of duties fault that i want to be a terrorist.

no more questions.

Ah indeed he does... although he did pause for about 5 seconds before saying "in a video game", and he just said the whole sentence in a very suggestive way.

If it's an M game, why would parents buy them for their kids? I would think they would criticize the parents for buying it for them.
 
dude you could turn literally anything into a left vs right issue. this is not about defending your beloved fox news geniuses, or about obama.
 
dunno if this has already been said since i didnt feel like reading it but at the beginning the FIRST time you turn on the game you are given a skip mission option and if parents are letting their 8 year olds play CoD then thats their problem
