when I first heard that there was going to be a ovie about eminem, I was convinced it was going to be crap. but I was quite surprised when I saw the preview. It looks like a fairly decent movie. I'll wait untill I actualy see the movie to make anymore judgements on it.

well, it is pretty much based on his life, but i read a review a month or so ago that said it wasn't being hyped that way...

...but i also just read an interview with eminem about 1o minutes after i posted that that said it was in fact loosely based on his life, so i think i'll just cut my tongue out for this horrible error.

Well, think about it this way, if Dre and Co. were to hype the movie as Eminem's life story, that were be poser as hell no? They're trying to sell Eminem as a good rapper, but no good rapper sells as many records as said honkie, hence acusations of him being a sellout by all who have any taste in music. Eminem's promoters are therefore wary of over-selling him, as would be the case were 8 Mile to be marketed as his life. But, they don't want to denounce it either, lest Eminem come of a poser.

Sigs are really starting to bug me.
