7d and 550d AGC Bypass

Just in case anyone hasnt already seen or heard about the agc bypass ipod trick, here is a short video explaining how to do it and why it works. If you are using a rode videomic make sure you watch the videos on the second link because you cant just buy an adapter at radisohack that works, you need to do some wiring or I believe Slavic or one of the other guys who comments is selling adapters for the rode videomic now. Just did this trick with my 550d and seinheisser mke400 and the results are sick. Reduces about all of the noise and hiss I would normally get. Heres the links and sorry if this is a repost.

Yea I don't understand. Was it something on canon's end to make the firmware more difficult to hack on the 7d? (clearly I know nothing about the technical side of changing the firmware) One would assume that the process of doing it to the 7d wouldn't be to difficult esp with the 5d and now t2i versions available.
 
Im pretty positive thats it, but someone correct me if Im wrong

it really blows for 7D owners but whatever, they should hassle canon to make a new official firmware
 
I think its because the 7d could see a huge firmware update when they release the 60d, because the 60d is going to have very very similar specs to the 7d
 
I didnt think of that, I think thats what canon will do if they do put out another update

but from magic lanterns perspective Im almost positive they were saying the 7D was to hard to crack
