71 inches at Bridger Bowl

Straight from the dusty shelves at home, I thought this would be an epic video to show you guys. Back in 2002 I believe, Bridger Bowl managed to receive 71 inches of snow over the course of two days. I was still a young guy back then, but my brothers were almost through high school.

Hearing of this legendary snow storm these two decided to drive down to catch this day of a lifetime, since the area had to be shut down due to there being too much snow. Needless to say it was an epic day for them.

They still brag about it to this day. Bastards.

This winter sucks.

I was there, I skied the first day they opened, which was 3 days after the storm. It was too deep. We had good snow for the whole week after.

They actually got that amount over a 24 hour period, and it was super light (3% or something like that). But yeah, it was too much snow. A fun novelty for a couple days, but it was too much to really ski in.

too bad it's been an icerink this season so far.... (although apparently it's been getting a bit dumped on.. I'm just out of town & fucking salty over it)

I will forever remember that day. Snorkels all over the place. So much pow that the few times I fell, I had a terribly hard time getting back up!

Yes. It actually worked nicely a couple times. One time i fell over and was pretty stuck, snorkel actually made it easier to breathe.

Can't believe you stopped skiing to film on a day like that, but its sick that you did. That was one incredible day, I remember getting trapped in a tree well for literally 30 minutes. once in a lifetime.

that looked sick. a dump that big might be easier to ski now seeing as the widest skis back then were what? pocket rockets maybe?

That is so sick, I plan to move out West for school, maybe somebody ill get an oppurtunity like that
