Ya well im sure if you really investigated how those stats were gathered you would find that most of them are bullshit. Theres nothing wrong with the US except an economic slump and a fucked up budget from the war. Keep calm and carry on.
 
That was a weak right wing attack on Obama and his administration.. Those facts might be real, but attributing some of them directly to Obama is absurd.
 
you can't necessarily blame bush either as it's really hard to pinpoint when the economy takes a downturn and it's still too early to say for sure whether or not obama has made poor decisions. it takes time for these things to work themselves out

and as a sidenote, obama implemented economical strategies that the republicans used in the 80s. just sayin
 
you are from canada and clearly have never read about american politics. the national debt and much american bullshitting actually began with the George H. W. Bush invasion of Kuwait and eventually Iraq. Obama has barely anything to do with it but gets all the blame. I am a republican, but I have sympathy for presidents because ignorant foreigners like you rip on them without reading into the subject.

yea i agree that this these stats are pretty disconcerting, but i was disapointed to see the op wasnt from america and was probably pointing fingers at how much we suck. but this comment, come on man, you can throw us all into one boat. even if it is the majority of people here who suck. reading that just pisses me off so much

maybe the statistics were correct but blaming it all on Obama is just it ignorance.
 
Don't get me wrong, obviously we are in a tricky spot. I, like most people, could go on about what my views on the state of the economy are.What really troubles me is how the media fills peoples head with shit like this. You read those stats and tell me there not fucked. Sure there are some worrisome ones in there, but the validity of the source is questionable, many of them are irrelevant, and its pretty obvious that quite a few are super right slanted erroneous garbage.
 
Let's see. 9.9% unemployment rate and 100 million Americans unemployed (both stated in article). The U.S. population is 311 million. Sounds about right.

where is this information coming from? many of these stats are clearly democratically slanted, i dont trust this shit, think for yourself.
 
Heavily debt and unemployment weighted statistics.... Certainly both dubya and Obama deserve fault for this (along with the fucking QE program). Unemployment will continue to grow worse over the next 20 years for the US,why pay more when you can outsource? Subsidies are going to the wrong places/shouldn't exist, and even if they went to something worthwhile, US production would still likely decrease. Subsidizing ethanol? You've got to be fucking kidding me. The only real fixable problem at this juncture would be to implement a leadership focused on cutting costs. The only piece really controllable is public funding.
 
*147k is just a drop in the three bajillion gallon bucket that is our national budget. And i think that money was put to some damn good use.
 
so how exactly will you "force" firms to employ more americans when you wont subsidize them or force them directly?

both things are pretty communist, a thing most americans still fear more than al-qaida or other imaginary threats.
 
What are you talking about? Obama called all Americans personally and not only encouraged but forced them to purchase 80% of the worlds percription drug market. Can't believe you didn't get one?
 
yeah, especially that "fact" is directly on obama. wonder how he will talk himself out of this.

the western world buys so many pain killers because its the easy way out. we stress our bodies at work in many ways and take the easy way out. americans are a big part of the first world, so this number surprised me only a little bit.
 
We love our drug manufacturers. We are probably top in a lot of drugs. Cause rather than fixing the problem, we find it cheaper to relieve the symptoms.

My back hurts, i'ma tell the doctor and get some vicoden. I'm not going to lose weight or start stretching cause that would be a waste of my time and mcdonalds tastes too good.
