crap, I didnt know there were so many people on this site who skied at the springs. I definitely plan on hitting it up 4 or 5 times (I live in Virginia, but I have friends who live in somerset). I will drop a line when I come up there and maybe ride with some fellow NSers

dude and during 'hell week', christmas to new years, its always so god damn busy...like no other. but yeah, the rain this year didnt help....

yeah they def didnt have ne good jumps when we went up in march and u get the rental thing everywhere pretty much so there aint much u can do

will there be ne rails up by then or pipe

if you mean by christmas then id say we would prob have a little hessian park action...prob a box and maybe a few small rails and a beat 10 foot jump....They have had some decent hits in the big park by new years before but it all depends on how early we start. Two years ago they had a sick spine and a few rails at new years so....

 
thats cool hopefully they start asap and it is a cold november and december with good amounts of snow oh well if it sucks we r def gonna urban if we have snow

Anyone remember the huge spine like 5 years ago? If you cleared it, you'd go as high as the alpine chair or sunup-sundown chair, whatever its called. That thing was gigantic

i was representin' at age 12, not 13.

I rocked that fucking spine...people would stand at the top and go off the side while i would clear the whole thing. God damn it i was an awesome pre-teen...hahaha

well here's the deal with jumps between Christmas and New Years: they cut them down. This was VERY noticeable last year because they took out a bunch of rails in the hessian park and groomed all the jumps down, and even groomed out wagner headwall....i say we resort to back country skiing this christmas break, or I will set all the rentals skis up wrong so they're always back in the shop asking them to get fixed

I can't wait for the Spring to open this year. Laural Might be fun as well if they get enough snow. I am praying for lots of natural snow so I can bang up blue knob. Springs parks do suck so bad. Skiing in PA just sucks but it is what we have. Killington had a sweet park last year. I would love to see a wall at Springs and a quarter pipe. Hiking up that stupid hill becuase the rop pull did not go up far enough sucked. Especially for a little table top. Springs needs a 60 footer and less ice!!!

^ yeah im with you im only comin up if i hear that there is a kickass jump cuz the 6 hour drive aint really worth it for 1 shitty jump and sum good rails
