Decided to buy a pair of 686 jacket and pants for the next session. I made that choice because of reasonable prices, lots of suggested colors and models and more or less good performance. I just want to know your opinion about It. what do you guys think? can you offer me anything better for about 200 bucks and 10k waterproofness with good choice of colors? Has any of you ever had or skied with 686 jacket or pants. What is their quality and waterproof fabric like?

P.S I know they make snowboard outwear, but I like it and want to know how It's gonna be for skiing. Thanks and +k for any good answer

Don't be insecure because it's a snowboard brand... I've worn burton for years (still do actually)

Dont be bent out of shape because it is a "snowboard brand". If you like the outerwear and the specs are good then go for it dude!

go for it homie, some of the raddest suits i have seen are Burton AK (definitely snowboarding brand)

yeah i wear a 686 jacket and its pretty awesome, soo waterproof, strong, light and great venting. only annoying parts are imo my jacket is a bit tight around the hood.

I've had a 686 smarty jacket for years, and it's great. The zip-in liner isn't spectacular, but the jacket itself has a bunch of real handy pockets and features. Highly recommended!!

Bonfire is pretty tight too and reasonably priced. Jackets and pants for under $200 each
