5Xl jiberish Ribbing to loose

yo so i was just making a quick thread to see if its a dumb idea to cut the threads holding my ribbing on and make it tighter i know i can do it and have it look like last years jib and wont look bad at all im a good sewer but just need some advice let me know thanks
 
nah go for it, but get i done properly instead of slashing it up yourself and then feeling like a dumbass for ruining your jiberish. There was at least one kid who had their new shit tailored this winter, he was happy with how it turned out.
 
I cut two holes in the ribbing on the front and fed a string all the way around the ribbing inside so I could sinch it. It works fairly well.
 
It's a fucking 5XL hoodie. The ribbing is not supposed to be tight. Ya know why? Because it's a fucking FIVE X L HOODIE THAT IS MADE FOR SOMEONE HUGE.
 
thank you. take a look at the vast majority of companys hoodies, the ribbing is usually just a tad tighter than the body, usually the ribbing is the same width as the body. if u buy a 5xl and dont weigh at least 200 lbs it will be a sail.
 
no. its jiberish. most people buying 5xl jiberish are not fat, but skiers or snowboarders who want tall clothing, not fat ass clothing.
 
no. its jiberish. a clothing company, who now is going in a new direction trying to appease more than just skiers and snowboarders who want tall clothing, my uncle has a 4xl jiberish crew that fits him, says he wishes he got a 5xl, know components of business before posting, theres more money in the masses than just in the extreme sports community
 
ya dude, for sure. dumbest thing. jiberish isnt a clothing company at all. its a ski company. why try to appeal to people outside skiing, right?
 
bring this thread back to life to ask if the shoelace thing works with zippered pieces or just with crews and pull overs
 
works with zippered ones, i have an ironface that i did it too and it works, you just will have to untie the laces to take it off
 
Thinking about putting a lace through my 3xl level 1 collab. I wish I had gottrn A 2xl. Would it look better to cut the holes at the front or the side?
 
haha good idea, but i kind of like the look of the strings hanging down/ being tied at the bottom
 
Pretty late for me to be jumpin in on this but I reebered this thread, went and got two of my pieces tailored for the same problem, it was expensive but so insanely worth it. Couldn't be happier

p.s. did you go do it yet?
 
word dude i here ya and yea iv done it to 4 of my 5x now and lovin them fit to my style and supper stoked on um

Shitty pics but you get the idea. The ribbing used to be a fucking dress before, from the side it used to look like I had an ass parachute. This is one of the two I got done but its the same deal.
 
i believe he thought it was a 5xl, thats why he said it looks short. But if your 5'8, than is clearly not a 5xl
