5's in the pipe

halfway thru the season i started doing 540's in the pipe, but near the end of the year i would go bigger and bigger, but i would land flat, and as we all know, that sucks ass..... could it be that i pop off the lip too hard, or is it something else entirely different?

 
ya dont pop as much, make sure you dont pop as much next time.. cus if you pop to much youll land flat, thats what your doing when you pop too much.

schwags makes a good point about poping too much because when i pop too much i land flat too, so when i do pop too much it hurts when i pop too much

In the pipe you don't even need to pop unless its undervert.. thats the only time you should ever pop. other than that you ride off the wall not hop off it

 
that makes no sense. hes landing in flat thus hes poping too hard to push him away from the pipe wall and make him land flat.

popping too hard off the top of the pipe, probably trying to take it too big or spinning too soon. that and pop in the pipe isnt popping up like off a table, its all about the transition and carrying speed through the bottom of the pipe straight up the wall, just driving forward through the bottom of the pipe and up the wall. thats basically it, and thats what atkinson was saying at high north.

 
yeah 5s in the pipe are kinda sketchy when your pipe sucks ass. one day youll land allright then the next you case it and land on the deck and the next time you land flatbottom
