5D Mark II 1200$ - LEGIT!

Oh, price got updated. When I saw it, it was 1200$. Saw the link on POTN and figured some people would be interested in it here as well.

I payed my mark II with handle 2 batteries and a 24-105 mm for 4000$ back 3 years ago. This baby still holds strong and is so sick , never regretted buying it. The lens itself is almost 1500$ used on the internet rite now. Excellent camera for resale, Love full frame.

I've only shot with one but never edited the photos, so I'm judging by optics alone.

I thought the 5D had more noise due to the overkill megapixel count? And I don't see how the extra DOF is a good thing since I'm always stopping my lenses down to f/16 on my 7D...

for what you do, FF is not the right tool, but for A LOT of things, it is just...better

i could never ever in a million years go back to a cropped sensor camera unless it was as a second body

I think much of it comes down to what you're shooting. Being able to get wider angle shots that have a small depth of field is really awesome to me. I'll agree with you that for many situations, smaller depth of field isn't necessary.

From what i've seen the 5d performs considerably better in low light for photo. I know this isn't a scientific comparison, but just by looking at star time lapses, the 5d produces a noticeably cleaner image than crop sensor cameras.

Having said this, I still can't justify spending over double the price of a 60d to get full frame.

I am not pleased with the noise on my 7D photos, but I just assumed that was because I don't consider myself a photographer and just don't know how to take photos with it...I wasn't aware the 5D was noticeably cleaner.

Really, my main beef with the FF is that my telephoto loses reach. A 112-320 2.8 suddenly becomes a genuine 70-200 on FF :/

do any research and you will find the 7d has terrible noise problems, its a huge complaint i see about it all the time, my OG 5d is better then the 7d at all ISO settings. If you want to shoot low light with a 7d, you are pretty much forced to buy really fast glass if you care about noise at all, vs me being able to shoot at 3200 at f4 and not have a problem

????

10 bucks says you just said that to try and look smart. Turns out you failed miserably, what the hell are you agreeing to?

What are the differences between the 5d and 5dmkii photo wise? I've been playing with the idea of picking up an OG 5d just for photos...

but the iso range isn't that big of a deal unless you are shooting in very low light the majority of the time. OG 5d files are beautiful to work with, and you can pull a lot out of them(thanks to the FF sensor), if you get one you will see why people rave about FF for photos

This is supposed to be quoting Jamie, buuut I can't because I'm on my phone hahah. Anyways, Fred Miranda alwaaaaays has a ton of 5DC's for sale. I was perusing the forums yesterday and saw probably 15 during the short time I was on. And they always seem to be good on pricing too.
