56 foot banked S box & more!

Mammoth is steepin it up with the rails for this winter. Here are some pics i took earlier today. Thats the skeleton for the 56 foot banked S box that they are workin on. They are makin a bunch on new rails for the season. All the old rails also got new pant jobs. Images are large so give them a few min to load.

My Dream!

I probably couldn't do those cause the only rail I've ever done is a single pipe strait rail in my backyard cause the mountain I ski at doesn't have good enough insurance to build rails cause all the little kids try them and get injured.

dude if i took pictures of the the new rails for snow summit you would probably shit your pants. i mean im pretty scared of them and ive done rails all my life. O rails, roller coster rails, stair case rails. rainbow rails bigger then you have ever seen in your whole life. and you know the s rail? well have you ever seen a rail with 3 curves? pretty insane if you ask me.

ya craig is awesome on rails and mammoth was short on rails last year compared to even big bear and summit has insane rails.

Where is the box going to be put?

I am still on the beginer rails myself (mailbox, flat rails, boxs, etc.)

what do you mean whats the point? you can do so many different things with a S box like that. like switch to unatty ski slide on the first part of the curve then regular ski slide to 270 out on the seconed part of the curve

yes, skiing is fun, and no, we don't see anything like that out here. i wish i could say i'm proud to be from the east coast, but after looking at that and jizzing myself, well..............

 
you know - sitting on NS saying 'i wish we could have that here' won't make it suddenly appear at your mountain. go into the maintinance shed, or whatever you got at your hill and talk to them.

How far is snow summit from mammoth (driving)? and what's big bear- is that near snow summit or are they the same place?

i emailed like every mountain in my area and only one replied, they said that there going to have 'slider boxes' (have no clue what those are) 'token picnic tables' and a 'jib barrel' and tons of other 'goodies' doesnt sound to good to me....most of the other mountains could care less or are to worried about maintaining there golf course right now.

snow summit is about 4 1/2 hours from mammoth, and bear mtn is about 5 minutes from snow summit.
