540's

spin faster.....and dont think of it as sumthin completely different from a 360, all it is is adding an extra 180, you can spot the landing from 360

OK I just learned sketchy 5s yesterday and heres what i did.

In the morning I was just skiing along and went into a snowplow and threw a 3. Now go in the halfpipe and huck yourself the same amount as a 3 on normal ground. I found that dont wind up too early before the lip in the pipe, kind of wind up and then throw yourself in a consistent motion. I did this and overspun to a 7. Hope this helps. Ive never tried a 5 off a table though.

make sure you LEAD with your head, it makes it soo much easier, just look until you get around your head out. land with your head facing uphill

just throw a 3, spot the landing, and dont slow your rotation down. when u land make sure u r lookn up the hill till u hit the ground

This is from my coach who's the owner of a skiing company that teaches skiers how to jump. Don't tunr your head. You're doing it wrong. Rotate your hips. Taht gets you the turn. If you want to, to spin faster, you can throw your arms, but it's the hips that get you around. Go past the 360 adn stomp the 540. If yhou fall, practice skiing fakie for a little and then try again.

wow, thats a wierd way to do it, but if it works...

Most people almost always lead with their heads though, then you can control your rotation and spot your landing better

the way I lerned them was by spinning a 3 hard and just not thinking of it as a three. You have to keep going after 3. Dont spot the landing at 3. If you do, you will stop. Just Keep your head going. If you land and keep spinning on the ground taht is good. That means you have the motion and mentality down. ALl you need now is to try more and hit bigger jumps or spin faster. THe main thing is just dont stop at 360. DO NOT!

just commit yourself

Look, if you are doing good 360's then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to do a 540 as long as you are fairly familiar with landing backwards.

You can do it. Believe that you can. Picture landing it in your head. Then just do it.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

well the whole hip thing will prob throw you off a bit and won't help you when you want to learn 7's or 9's. Just when your coming around on your 3 just don't look at the landing and just keep your head looking in the direction you spinning and you'll get it

think of the way you need to be facing to land a 540 and don't stop until youre facing that way.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

well my problem is at 450 i always spot landing and that stops my rotation so i fall.. no matter how much bigger i always try to spot landing too early. i spin left, and after 360 i try to spot landing over right shoulder. just keep looking and spot landing over shoulder you're lookin over... you may over rotate a little bit but it'll get the rotation down there and it'll feel better.

you can't touch me, nobody has that right.

don't be such god damn babies and don't think about it so much. just spot your landing after your 360. do it off a big jump so you have a lot of time to bring it around

for me, it was the same as a 3, but I just tried to spin a bit faster, and just let the 360 pass in the air. it feels really weird at first, but I've landed 4 of 6 attempts. just learned them last week.
