540

if yur just trying it im gunna say possibly a meduim to small jump, as long and u can easily do a 3 over it

not really, its easier to spot the landing when you land switch. i think switch 3s are easier than normal 3s

make sure you are comfortable landing switch, then just go for it and once you get to 360 keep looking over you shoulder

when you get older, you'll be landing switch 75% of the time. Your knees aren't the rubber bands they were when you were 14-15-16.

Doing my first 5 was orgasmic, that extra rotation over a 3 is pretty intense till you get used to it. It made my guts raise up into my throat feels great. Hope you have a similar experience.

Try it on a smaller jump then you think you should. pull a three but as soon as you land butter around the last 180 degrees. As you get better you'll move to bigger jumps and not hvae to spin on the ground. its all about progression

i land 5's better than 3's too, i have a better feel for the rotation cuz 3's are a little touchy when you get on big tables

dont try to go super fast, just go slower and medium air and spin it as hard as you can. keep looking after the 3 and spin your whole body evenly.

i was having a problem today with switch right 3's wich i think you might be having too, its a natural instinct that when you come around and see the landing you want to stay facing it, but you have to conciously tell yourself to look back at the takeoff and just thing about coming around and landing switch, just use your head to look back up the landing and your body will come around

i just learned 5s and the way i did it was barely spin a little harder than for a 3 and just spot yourlanding and keep spinning. thats not great help but it wasnt too hard for me

i brought this thread back becauase i need help on my 5's...i have tried 3 so far...i can do 3's easily well pretty easy almost over anything....30,40ft table so far so i assume they are fine to do 5's considering some people do them at my mountain...i have landed 450 all the times...any tips?

ive been tryin 5's 2 i have no problem with the spin but everytime i land my skis just pop right off i gotta tightin my bindings and next time i go ill get it

I was going to start trying 5s today, but the snow is to hard for wrecking. When we get a little more snow, I am gonna go for it. But I understand about you body just wanting to land after 360. But I think if you practice switch 3s, then you get used to spinning away from the landing. That is something I need to start doing to.

By the way, which is harder for you all. A switch 360 or a 540?

for 5's jus go off the jump that you do good 3's off but get bigger air and spin the 3...then if u have enough air look over the shoulder u spin and should autmaticaly get the extra 1 in there
