540 or 720

Today i was trying to learn 540s off a small table. The first time i tried i got the rotation well but then kinda landed on my side. The 2nd try i overotated and spun more of a 630. 180s off the same jump are harder than a 360. Should i just huck a 720 and land forwards rather than bother landing switch?

hey, you only tried a 540 twice... just go out and try it again. throw a 720 if you want, but don't give up on the 540.

I had a funny quote, but i forget what it was and who said it.

You're probably better off learning solid 540's before trying a 720. Doubling your rotation (from a 360) without knowing what you are doing could end up hurting.

I only tried it 2 times because i didnt have much time left by the time i felt ready to huck it. ONe of my friends stuck it his first try so i guess i should try it more.

Ya go for the 540 first. I think its a big difference in the rotation between the two when you first start landing. I think now though, after being able to do both for a while, 720s are easier. But thats after a long time.

I didnt think it was hard to go from 540 to 7...so just learn 5s first, then 7s

I'm gonna kick your ass...From here to right over there!

The way I see it is that 3s and 5s are grouped in one class and 7s and 9s are in another. A 540 just involves you tossing you hips around and spotting your landing switch. But with 720 you have to start another rotation and its more difficult, at least for me. I haven't tried any 7s yet this season, but I'm confident that I'll land one this weekend. I will stomp a 720, oh yes, I will stomp a 7.

Cheers

YEah a seven feels like a lot more rotation than a five.

why land forwards when you can land backwards? in my opinion, start or land all of your jumps switch, or you suck.

5s aint hard try off a bigger jump and rotate a little faster an dafter 360 dont take your eyes off the landing and you should do a five. 7s seem like more rotation but are still easy. sorry if that was a little vague or weird it is just im a little drunk.

If you are just learning 5's try them on a smaller jump. If you can spin fast you don't need that much air. It is going to hurt less if you mess up trying to land switch of a smaller hit. Definitely don't skip the 5 and go to the 7 though.

Where did you find it?

I don't know. I was too excited. We're in the Lesbian stronghold

if you are good at switch try them backwards first, thats how i learned them, but most people are better and landing backwards as oppose to taking off
