50cc Dirtbike Questions

Okay so my friend and i have some extra cash layin around (were in college) and we came acrosse a 50cc mini dirtbike for sale at $150. First, is that a good deal?

Second, do you have to have insurance for those to drive on the street, or are they small enough you could use them on the sidewalk?

Haha we just figured it'd be dope to have cuz were the farthest dorms from the campus. We'd also use it at his lakehouse as well

they're badass, and you can't drive it on the street though. i bored mine out to 110cc and it rips, like 50mph on the road and they are so fun to jump and shit.

dude that is such a good deal. they normally go for like 700. and did someone say 50cc is slow? soooo what...you can learn to do circle wheelies and shit on them. Or get a big bore kit better suspension and some bmx handle bars and jump that shitt! look up some vids on youtube... fast fittys or fast 50's

You can get them going real fast and people here in AZ drive them on the sidewalks all the time. 150 is cheap as hell. All modded out they go for around 1500-2000

Around here anything under 50cc is legal on the road. 50cc dirt bikes are actually 49cc in most cases so they should be ok. So you should be able to ride it on the road. Dont take my word for it though, look it up.
