5000$ shoes anyone

that shit is really expensive, i dont know if i would call it overpriced, but thats what i thinking at this moment, i just got a pair of nike sb lobsters (that are legit) for way cheeper than they are selling them here.

That's nothing... here are some shots from some stores in Tokyo.

(hope they aren't too small)

when i open my closet door nikes fall out every where its really annoying. size 10 anyone need some new shoes! haha

sorry, but aint nobody selling what the dunks in the front window of a store. and tokyo + shrinkwrap = fugazi at ALL times. not to mention they never made those fapestas halfway down the second column. fakes is blowin UP these days.

that said, the sneaker game has fallen off hard in the past three or four years. glad i got out when i did...straight garbage going for legendary prices these days, it hurts my noggin. not that hyperstrike wutangs arent the bees knees (pun INtended). 48 pairs made, probably 30 of em going to wutang and family, you begin to understand the price tag.

its not the shoes, its the story behind em, just like any other collectable.

when it comes down to it though, the best sb's ever made are CLEARLY these...

i still kick myself for not getting a pair when they dropped at eastern boarder. they are an absolute masterpiece.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'd just honestly like to know...What makes those shoes so cool/good? They look like any other pair of shoes to me. Is it the materials, or are they handmade or designed by a famous designer or what?

ive just always loved them since they first came out. theyre not $5000 shoes, nowhere near it, not designed by anyone special, thats just been my favorite sb since it came out in 04.
they also feature some of the softest suede EVER. so dope.

Actually...all of those shoes in that picture are real.
It was in Harajuku at a high-end "used" clothing store. The shoes in the outside display case were under lock and chain, and it would have taken a jackhammer to get through that glass. They was around 25,000$ worth of shoe in that case alone. Inside was even more insane...like multiply that case x20.
But they wouldn't be real right? ..... it's ONLY one of the fashion capitals of the WORLD.....

i would never spend more than $300 on a shoe, and it would have to be a damn good shoe, a Jordan or something. i don't like buying rare shoes, mostly because i like knowing that other people agree with my style, but also because i always forget that i'm wearing them and end up destroying them sooner or later.

those shoes are sick, but they should not be worth so much more than any other Nikes.

took a while for you to find those shoes on fcny. those have been up there for soooo long. i went to the store in NY and they were tight and then my bro of course had to buy a oair of shoes for 1000

...so is new york city, paris, london, etc etc, and see how easy it is finding fakes around those parts.
if anything japan is more of a hotbed for that shit because of its proximity to china where fakes are produced.

So true glad I got out as well. The last straight lines nike sb did were the be true to your school dunks and the team manager series (stussy lows, tiffs, ect) The only reason I would buy sb's now is to skate and the only shoe that looks appealing for that are the janoskis which haven't even dropped yet.
