Anyone interested? Come live with a couple of good guys for the winter. We shred Squaw everyday and love to have a good time. Get in touch!

Is that a dope price? im thinking of moving down there next winter, from canada, fucking hate the big city. wheres the cheapest to go live, in cali? squaw, tahoe.. ?

squaw is part of tahoe, and 500 a month is pretty standard for a room mate situation. although i think south lake tahoe is a bit cheaper. the night life in south lake is better, but the skiing is significantly worse unless you wanna make the 45 minute drive to kirkwood, or hour+ drive to north lake tahoe.

say i lived in that general area.. what are the names of hills around there. eg. mammoth and June and such, ( i know mammoth is way further down). what are the bigger hills, and whats the park situation like around that area?

the major 3 up in north lake are

1. Squaw valley, nice open bowls great terrain decent park

but there's the squaw scoul

2. alpine meadows, nice open bowls great terrain decent park, pretty awesome overall mountain.

3. northstar, more creative park, wouldn't say it's better than squaw or alpine though, much flatter mountain, lacks harder terrain, and is a total tourist mountain, 30-60 minute lift lines during weekends peak season

south lake

1. heavenly, really good parks, remainder of mountain isn't that exciting

2. sierra at tahoe, really fun mountain about 30 minute drive away from south lake tahoe

3. kirkwood, honestly one of my favorite resorts, gets really good powder due to elevation, about 45 minutes from south lake tahoe when the roads are clear.

south lake has the casino's though, so there's really good nightlife, and a lot of tourism during the summer so jobs can be easier to come by.

mammoth and june are about a 2.5 hour drive south, june is pretty sick on the weekends because everyone is at mammoth so lift lines are short, midweek, go to mammoth. Mammoth Lakes is a pretty small town though and is really isolated. At least in tahoe, if you want to escape reno and carson city are close by, and san francisco is about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive.

oh shit man, you gave me enough info. thanks man.

they all sound pretty sickk to me, note im from Toronto, so i ski on tiny hills and occasionally Quebec.

but im really hoping to move out there, i cant take big city livin anymore, need the mountains. i got some buddys on the coast, so driving into the beaches and coast wouldnt be a mission. sounds like exactly what im looking for. What kind of jobs are around there, is it hard to find one and support living monthly?

south lake sounds like it could have some jobs.

yooo, def interested but I will not be moving out until Nov once I can get a job at Squaw and start working. You got a telephone number I can holler at you at once work gets out? I am working until 5 p.m. central time so I can call you after that. LEMME KNOW BROOOO!!!!

Much love for this info.

Recently moved to the bay and will be heading to a mountain weekly.

Would be keen to hear you spat out info on passes for the area.
