50 Million Dollar Diamond Heist:

Actually they do most keep their value, the black market discount is measured in percentage.Usually only the first contact the "fence" which most thieves have already lined up knows they are 'dirty'.

They can sell it to someone who doesn't care about its provenance it goes to someone a little dirty, then less dirty and less dirty until it gets into the pipeline of the industry.

you are so fucking stupid and have no idea what you are talking about, I worked in the diamond district in nyc for a few years. if you're going to buy any diamonds as a real jeweler/anyone in the world and it turns out they are stolen the police take them away and you get none of your money back. so if someone comes in with $50,000$+ worth of diamonds we have to say hey are these yours, where did you get them, where's the proof of sale? because no one wants to buy 100,000$ of anything them have them repossessed. so no they are less on the black market.

NYC might have small time diamond sales. But that's not where the stuff from Brussel was heading.Dubai and Hong Kong are the major hubs, they don't care about source there and after the first sale it flows and it's source becomes more and more legit along the way.

And no one is gonna walk into a jeweler with 100K of stolen diamonds, unless they are idiots.

Yes they are less on the black market, but not substantially so.

"NYC might have small time diamond sales." that may be top 5 most wrong things I have ever read on this site. Look I think its cute you just finished watching blood diamond but let people who know what they are talking about post because you clearly don't.
