50 Cent vs. Kanye West

I like 50 cen's rap a lot. It's mainstream and I really don't give a fuck. I don't care how played his music is or if you think he's a sellout. I think he makes good music. The Get Rich Or Die Trying soundtrack is legit, end of story. I liked the movie too.
 
I dont see why people are haiting on kanye. He's one of the best mainstream rappers hands down.
 
Not gonna lie, i like the get rich or die tryin movie. His rapping is not bad but i do like kanye much better. Im not gonna say i want one to outsell the other but i do kinda wanna see if 50 would really quit his solo career.
 
I completely agree. I hate when a song is nothing but "im the fucking man, im so fly, suck me off because im the greatest shit ever".

kanye west is horrible. like some have said, music he's produced for other artists is decent, but his "rapping" skills are fucking pathetic. Let's all just rhyme the same word 234 lines in a row, completely abuse poetic license by mangling said word, make purposefully controversial remarks about the president, and jerk our heads back and forth in a music video like we've got terrets to make millions.

i d/l'd some freestyle with kanye in it, and every time he started sucking horribly, he'd laugh and play it off like he was killing it too hard to keep freestyling. fuck you mr. west.
 
both are legends of the rap game and both have struggled since thier last albums. i think kanye gets the nod though based on the fact all his raps arent based aroun murder, clubbin and slangin rocks. get rich or die tryin will always be a classic but 50 has stedily declined since the massacre.
 
Fuck both of them. Kanye makes good beats though, I'll give him that... when he works with other rappers like Slug and Kweli I tend to like him, but as a solo act he's shit.

And, just because I've been looking for a place to rep them, listen to Celph Titled. Playing With Fire is easily the sickest hip hop song I've heard in a very long time.

 
i have come to a realization. why buy either cd when you could just buy the new common cd which is way better than both....

When Kanye does stuff with other artists, it only shows how bad he is. Songs like This Way by Dilated Peoples come to mind.

I like the beat to Stronger, but I am not buying his album.

50 Cent just sucks. No way around that.
 
In some cases I will agree... Aside from the beat (epic) This Way is indeed pretty terrible. However, some artists he collaborates with like Slug do a pretty good job of making him look good.

Kanye's obviously a better rapper and has more intelligent lyrics so no doubt he'd win.

But I'm gonna have to agree with no-jesus on this one...listen to some peaceful music once in a while too. This rap shit is getting annoying.
