A five-year-old boy dressed in a Spider-Man suit became a real

superhero in Brazil when he saved a baby girl from her burning home.

While playing in his back garden with a friend, Riquelme Maciel

spotted smoke coming out of the wooden house’s windows and ran to tell

the baby’s mother, Lucilene dos Santos.

But Ms Santos was too afraid to enter the blaze, so it was down to

young Maciel to step in and save the day - he rushed into the burning

house and grabbed baby Andrieli from her cradle.

The Fire Department Chief Jose de Macedo praised the boy’s bravery,

and much like his hero Spider-Man, Maciel became the talk of the town.

His face made it to the cover of all the local newspapers and he no longer needs the red and blue costume to be recognised.

Maciel said he is now dreaming of becoming a fire-fighter so he can save more lives.

 
the mother was too afraid to go get her own baby...but lets a 5 year old kid go into a flaming house to get it for her? what a stupid whore! take that baby away from her haha.

the mother of that baby is a fucking cunt. she let some little 5 year old go in after it because she was too afraid, she doesn't deserve kids.

dude, that lady obviously has 1. little value for human life other than her own and 2. zero courage. that's weak. i'll judge that if some 5 year old has the faculty to go into that house and she doesn't, then that's messed up
 
True. But the 5 year old kid stepping up when the adult was too afraid to shows true courage. High five to him!...And a high five across the face to the lady.
 
Cool story. Good thing the baby really wasnt the green golbin and had a beef to settle with this kid huh?
 
well if it was her baby, i think it actually wasn't, i read it quick....but like if your baby was in a burning building, it doesn't matter, you're going to run in after it. theres stories of women like lifting up cars to save their babies and shit. its all about the power of motherhood and adrenaline.

i can't believe i just said that last sentence.

hahahaha at the last sentence but yeah, exactly what I was thinking. If it's their child a mother will go crazy, it's the primal instinct to protect their young. (similar to a baby cub and mama bear)

Either way props to the kid, that's amazing.
