I understand why you'd ask for a code but companies don't want people to just give out codes unless they were mass emailed or made public anyway.

If a rep or company employee is nice enough to give you a code, you should show some respect and not post it all over ns, or even post it at all. If it was a public code or emailed to lots of people than sorry, no harm done. If not than it's probably not a great idea to post.
