what was it, like the 4th longest? it was a good game, but i dont know about that mighty ducks goal that got called back... a little sketchy to me. i know the rule, but in a third ot to be that damn stingy... kinda gay. it was funny to see the fans leave, then come back. go mighty ducks. all they need is charlie conwey, and they will go all the way!!!

Anaheim made some good off season aquisitions as well as at the trading deadline.

AS for the movie gordan bombay (emillio esteves) is the worst cast ever he is a 5 foot 2 inch scrawny midget.

Man, ducks are 6-0 in the playoffs. Fuckin' unbelievable. From what I've seen they aren't even that great of a team. Their transition game creates very little opportunities, their powerplay blows (the only powerplay goal they have was a 5-3) and their defence doesn't pinch or contribute. I admit that their D-zone coverage is good, and their goaltending is phenominal, but for that to be good enough against 2 of the top 3 teams in the league is surprising to say the least.

the popularity of this thread shows just how infested this site is with canadians.
but i love canada and their love of hockey. so few people near me watch hockey at all.
you people that were bashing the mighty ducks movie - if you like(d) hockey at all then i know you loved that movie when it came out if only just because it was about hockey. especially since most of you were little boys at the time and had favorite player heroes and aspired to play and everything. you prolly either owned it on video or your mommy rented for you often.

jay i dont see where you have the ground to say that 1. their transition game is shitty and 2. their defense dont pinch. on the first one, did you see how many fuckin 3 on 2's they had against detroit? it made me sick! but their inability to SHUT-DOWN transition also makes me sick, its always back and forth back and forth. Plus kariya is one of the best transition players to ever play, even though their team is one of the worst passing teams i have ever seen. now on the second notion, they have shut down the patented modano breakout every single time the stars have tried it, meaning their d pinch well enough to pick off that pass to modano streaking up the wing. there i said it, but i do agree with you on the fact that their power play sucks worse than erich kunz gives head.

I seen less than 1/4 of their games, but from what I've seen, every time they come out of their zone it's 3-4 Dallas players vs. 2-3 ducks. I have yet to see ANY back and forth hockey from the Ducks.
The D's pinching... every lose puck at the blueline has been picked up by Dallas, because the D are in the neurtal zone, and too afraid to move up. The puck never gets thrown back into the corners.
When I watch Sens games I see defenseman battling in the offensive corners and infront of the net and contributing to the offence. I don't see that at all with the Ducks.

I said that the ducks are good defensively, but Kariya has not been as effective offensively as a $10M man should be (I'm almost positive he's the highest paid player still in the playoffs). Even his coaches are telling him he needs to produce more points. Obviously there's more to the game than that, but if you're getting paid $10M to score, you better fuckin' score.
From what I've seen the Ducks have been having difficulties gaining center ice. When they do get center ice, they rarely carry the puck over the blue line. Granted, Dallas is a good team at clogging up the neutral zone, but I'm just not impressed at all with Anahiem's transition. Cleaner and smarter passes out of the zone and defensemen who are more willing to take a bit of a risk to keep the puck in the offensive zone, and I think the Ducks would be more of a contender than they are now.

I don't really know a lot about the Ducks, so if they do indeed pinch, then the forwards are doing a really good job of coming back and covering the point. The ducks actually impressed me in the first period today (games still on). Commentator just said though, that not one defenseman has scored a goal for the Ducks.

It's going to be really interesting to see how Anahiem responds to their first loss. I really hope they can dispose of Dallas. Turco's ability to handle the puck really helps Dallas to clog the neutral zone. Even on the powerplay, the Ducks couldn't get into the zone cleanly. Anahiem did a better job of not letting Turco play the puck than they did earlier in the series.

The first game they played back and forth hockey they lost there whole game is take away the middle collapse down low and transition.
There transition game is good the other team might have 2 or 3 back but the ducks do a good job hitting the trailer in the play.
How can you say they cant pass kariya is a good passer and oates is one of the best in the game, after that there a little weak.
The star for the ducks has to be steve ruchin and i think they will come back and take game 4 and 5.
If it goes 6 i will be there for sure.

I agree with the person who said how cool it is to have people from canada on here to talk hockey because down here the only thing most people know about hockey is that its cool cus you can fight.
Also the east coast people know there hockey especially in minnesota where i went to hockey camp with the actors playing the ducks in the movie they learned how to skate and shoot and all but they all sucked.

I wnet to a camp in deerwood called heartland hockey camp.
I stopped playing cus i was short and i had dick coaches that wouldnt put me on the team even though i could work there guys so i havent played in 3 years but i am a lot bigger now and am going to see what i can do with it.
First i got to get out of cali.
