Aight, so I got a 03 4x2 ford ranger this year for a really good deal. I just bought and installed a canopy from the dump that cost my 25 bucks. I know that 4x2's suck cock in snow, but I want to be able to use it for car camping and shit. Plus it gets really good gas millage, 29mpg highway. With chains and my mud tires do you think I should be able to drive it up my mountain on a heavy snow day? Or do you think im going to kill myself?

wat kinda mud tires? but yea, u should be ok if u dont drive like a tool, i dont think i put my cherokee in 4wd once this season for skiing, with gnar conditions, and super swamper SSR's. snow shouldnt be a problem, but ice will be with mud tires, but u have chains, so thats good

if you have chains or studs in them, ice will not be a problem at all, and yeah, 100 pounds in the back over the wheels and you will be just fine as long as your mountain has decent snowploughing and all that
