4th of July Bowl: on the 4th

a-basin will probably be open by around october 15 dude, that's kinda their target every year, so that's less than a month from now...
i live in vail and i work for vail resorts so i know what im talking about, im just down in texas for the week, i didnt say breck would start blowing snow quite yet, but they might close the access road to SET UP THE SNOWMAKING INFRASTRUCTURE...and a lot of that shit is expensive so they wouldnt want people going up there and damaging any of it
there's a fuckload of gear in storage right now and theyve got a relatively small crew to work with, those guys have to have everything in place within the next couple weeks so they can start making snow as soon as it will stick, so theyve got a lot of work to do...hence closing the access road in a week or so like a month before opening

and just think of all the terrain breck has to cover with snow by november. they will for sure start making snow soon if they want to get everything ready for opening day. a basin was soposed to start blowing this weekend.

I was up there yesterday. It was sick. The forest service took every rail except for a flat down...don't know who's that is. There was snow making equipment all over peak 8 already (it was my first time up and ended up coming up freeway area, my bad) If I had to guess the road will be open for a little while from the looks of things.
